I love babies and toddlers and kids, I love them all. They make me happy, they make the world seem okay for a few minutes. You get lost in them and it's an amazing feeling.

And people wonder why I want a big family.

Yup, love dem babies, but I'm too old for any more of our own (teenagers can have that effect on you, see below) and too young for grandkids.

However, at dinner the other night, sitting around the table w/ wife kids (3) and 15 year-old daughter's boyfriend, we got on the subject of babies and how the mrs & I were done. We'd wait for grandkids, and none of them for a while, either.

Daughter says, "I guess we'll just have to practice."

My son and I have had the talk, being that he is too immature to be a father and you dont have to buy your hand presents at Christmas, and its birthday!
Being 15 has its bessings, easily embarassed.

I too love babies, the tinier the better. I would say Im damn good with them too. I love to take charge with them. My sister in law was rather ignorant of how to live with infant, so I went an stayed with her for a couple days to show her changing, bathing, rocking and listening at the cries. It's weird how some people just dont get kids and others do.
Id pick up her little guy and put him up on my shoulder with his tummy just above my breast. Almost instantly he would be asleep. SHe would be in total amazement, Id just tell her, you know you just need bigger boobs, something for him to lay on.

My other girlfriends babies were born in February, three months early. We went up to the baby shower and I got to hold their little girl.
She was fussing and I picked her up cuddled her and off she went. Im not bragging or anything, I guess Im rather boring for a few month old baby! lol
