"No... it's not ok. It's fantastic."
Elena sat back on her heels as he turned to face her, biting her lip with shy pride to have apparently affected him so.
"You have done so much for me, Elena, that I doubt I can ever repay you fully. No matter what happens here in this place, you have given me memories that will last me a lifetime."
As Jacob’s hand stroked her cheek, Elena’s eyes fluttered closed for a moment or two, her face tipping against his hand, simply revelling in the soft affection in the innocent stroking of his thumb. She had never felt so wanted in her entire life.
Their lips found each other and the kiss that followed completely obliterated all Elena’s memories of kisses she had shared in the past. It was almost naïve in the start, steadily but slowly growing increasingly passionate, sighs and gasps escaping now and then but no words passed between them. Her hands moved to hold his shoulders, more out of a need to hold herself up than anything else. Her head growing light as her lips made love to Jacob’s mouth. She leant closer and closer, her lips suckling, massaging and tasting his as thoroughly as they could, her mind capturing every moment.
It was simply breathtaking.
Her mouth watered at the taste of him, her tongue gently seeking his to caress. The kiss was beyond their control by this point, they were merely willing participants, their mouths acting on instincts as old as time.
When at last it stopped, Elena found herself breathless. Her lips tingled and felt as if something was…missing from them. She needed to feel Jacob’s lips against hers. Her sparkling eyes met Jacob’s, accompanied with a hazy smile.
"Elena... I have never... NEVER felt this way about another woman. You have touched something deep within me. I..."
Elena wanted to confess her own feelings mirrored his, that he had made her feel more desired in the last half an hour than she had felt ever before, but she sensed he had not finished. Waiting with baited breath for him to continue.
"Elena... I love you."
For a split second Elena couldn’t believe her ears but, to her genuine astonishment and utter delight, she felt her heart tremble with excitement at his words.
“I…well, I…” She began uncertainly, knowing what she wanted to tell him but unsure of finding the words to do her feelings justice.
“Oh Jacob…” Her face broke into a bright, wide smile as she leant forwards to press her lips happily against his to kiss him once more, her hands holding his face before she leant back.
“You know I think you may be the first person to ever say those magical words to me…” She admitted as she pulled back from the kiss but only far enough for his handsome face to come into focus once more.
“And I can honestly say, being her with you now…like this…I can not imagine anyone else ever having the effect on me that you have had…if all we ever have is the next few days I know the memories of them will last me the rest of my life and I think…no, I know…that even though it sounds crazy, if what I feel isn’t love than I genuinely don’t know what love it…Jacob, I honestly believe that I love you too…”
Elena kissed Jacob again and again, fighting against the sudden rush of emotion that rose up inside her and caught her by surprise. She had imagined saying those words to someone so many times, knowing that when she did, she would truly mean them. And in that room with him, she truly truly did.
