After all is said and done, Laurel you have done a teriffic job, and H.S. Writer did a fine job with the nominations as well. My critisms have been posted, noted, and delt with. Just want to say thanks for a really god job.

Thank you, but I've really done nothing. The authors did the real work. :)

Yes, Fred, you indeed did vote for Ambrosious. But, one wonders about your motives for doing so when you keep announcing it to the world.

well it was funny the first time now the long repeated post is just droll and stupid.
My motivation for voting for the story was I liked it. And when did I ever announce it to the world other than once in this thread?
Sheesh, get a life!

Fred H

You voted for me? Really? Which story?

Just curious, it doesn't matter, none of mine made it to the finals.

thought it was a good story Ambrosious! It was in category, Loving Wives, Joyce's Fantasy. And yes, many good stories did not make it. The ones that did make it are all great works. Petty damn good selection from a group of amateur writers. I did read all of them, even in the categories I don't normally look at. I know you don't like me much, but I don't hold grudges… I'm just to old for that.

Laurel
I was referring to your comments about the voting and the fact that we are here for fun and that these are not going to be considered for the Times list.

You could have tried to appease both sides, but you chose to do it right and remind everyone that this is a fun site and not to take ourselves too seriously.

I for one appreciate what you do with this site. Just wanted you to know it!

I don't know if anyone else had this problem but when I went to vote the first time several of the categories said I had already voted even though I had never been there before. What's up with that??

Voting Views / Ballot Blues

Well believe it or not, I had no idea what was going on with the voting before yesterday ... I did know I was on the ballot though I must admit ...

I was totally blown away and totally thrilled to be on the ballot with such wonderful authors as Tawny T, Killer Muffin, Creamy Lady, and Mark Singer ... I couldn't believe it ... my first year of submitting <lol> to this wonderful site ... and I receive this amazing honour <Canadian spelling, eh?> and sincerely it is an honour to me ...

and it is wonderful that more people are reading my stories .. :)

And I particularly want to extend my thanks for everyone who nominated me ... it really meant a lot to me ... and to Laurel and Manu who made it possible ... and of course Gweneth Paltrow too ... lol ..

I was trying very, very hard not to take this thing too seriously ... telling myself that it is only something I do for fun ...

Well .. I went to vote yesterday and I could not believe what I saw when I voted ... the results were there for everyone to see ... even graphs ... yikes ... and boy I was doing terrible ... but again I want to stress that I realize it was only my first year and I realize that I should not expect too many votes ...

But I did notice some discrepancies which I was very surprised at ... so I went back to search for the thread where Whispersecret said there was a "glitch" in the voting ... I remember having read the title of the thread but not reading further at the time ...

Soooo WS ... that is exactly what is happening to me now ... after I sign back on the my puter and go back into the voting screen, it asks me to vote again for the same category ... and I actually voted 3 times to get back in to see the results ... before I realized that would count as 3 votes ... I mean yikes ... what is happening ... I really, really, didn't mean to vote 3 times ... how many others has this happened to?

And please Laurel, how can I go back in to view the stats without voting again?

And also I want to mention one other thing ...

Either people are purposely giving me "1"s on that story to get my "stats" down .. or else people are judging the story more carefully now that it is a contender for best group sex story ... up against such wonderful and more experienced authors - Mark Singer and Tawny T ... My story pales in comparison to their wonderful writing skills ...

Well either way it is hard to take ... hard to stick your neck out and take people's criticism so openly ...

Before this election thing, I haven't had one bad thing said about any of my stories or any of my posts ... well now that is changed ... now I am some sort of target ... not a big target but nonetheless a target .. and it doesn't feel so great ... so I will ask if people could try to please be a wee bit kinder ... it is truly hard to be here ... especially being in last place ... lol .. (although of course someone has to be) ... :)

The voting problem was all hashed out at:
http://www.literotica.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=24534

I have no idea what to do about the ratongs at the end of the story pages. Untill the new scripts came out, I didn't know what they were, or how to access them, so I never woried about it. I very rarly voted. If I liked a story, I emailed the author If I didn't, I read something else. A couple of friends find the rating very important to them though, so now I try to remember to rate each one as I read it.

One last thing, Earlier in this thread I titled a post Whisper Wine. I have been asked if I thought that Whisper Secert guilty of whining as she had been accused by another poster. That is so ludicrous that it almost dosn't need a responce, but unfortunity it does. The discusion was becoming far too personal and this was my attempt to defuse it. Whisper is a jewel beyond reckoning, and if she were a wine a case would be precious indeeed.

Sam, your unsolicited praise means quite a bit. Thank you. I appreciate that we can disagree on issues here and still retain our respect for one another. You're a prince.

oh hey Sam luv ... :)

i read that thread before ... but it still doesn't sound to me like it is resolved ...

should i keep voting so that i can read the voting stats for a category?

Voting Problems

Still clueless on the voting problems. The thread everyone is pointing to explains people getting multiple chances to vote. But a number of people are not getting ANY votes in some of the categories, me included. Whats up with that?

Get thee to Flordia!

just kidding, really!

I have not voted in all catagories, and prolly won't. Do you think that you have recieved votes that ere not tallied? If so I would email Laurel immediatly.

"No, we purposefully made it so that you must vote to see the tallies. We wanted people to vote for what they really enjoyed without being biased by the current vote totals. After you vote, you can check them all day. I know I do.

Go ahead and vote again and I'll remove the dupes. "

If Laurel says that she has it under controll, all theat I know to do is to be enevyious!

Now let's talk about your punishment.
