Colorado has lost in the conference finals three straight years. St. Louis hasn't reached the Stanley Cup finals since
1970. One streak will end as the resilient Avs and well-rested Blues open the West finals today (3 ET, ABC). The Avs are juggling their line combinations with Peter
Forsberg out for the rest of the playoffs.

Avs will prevail!

Avs will rally around their fallen comrade! They are HOT after Game 7 in which they destroyed the Kings' will to live.

Da Blues? Bah! Bring 'em on!

I've got to wonder about the Avs...they lost some scoring punch when they traded Deadmarsh, and now they've lost Forsberg for the remainder of the season after having his spleen removed. Not to mention Turek is on his game for St.Louis right now...

Well, I don't mean to be an Avs basher, personally I like them more than the remaining teams left in the quest for Lord Stanley's Cup...but I mean, they went 7 with the Kings, and that's unacceptable at this time of year. The Kings have more holes, and were extremely over matched. Anyways, since I'm a Flyers fan, I want a hockey opinion. Around here, the word on the sports talk shows says Lindros and Andy Delamore to the Penguins for Jagr and someone I forget? What would you think of that? And they are also talking of trade rumors involving Brian Boucher to Vancouver or Calgary.

I live in Calgary.. And I don't think Calgary will be around much longer considering that no one hardly goes to the games anymore do to the fact they suck...
