Ok hockey fans.. The playoffs are here!

This pool works real simple.. You pick a winner for each series, you pick how many games it will go and you predict how many goals will be scored in that final game.

3 points for correctly picking a series winner
4 points for correctly picking how many games the series it will go
5 points for correctly predicting how many goals will be scored

Also, some bonus points will be handed out:

10 for correctly picking the Stanley Cup winnner
5 each for picking the winners of the east and west
10 for picking who will lead the league in playoff scoring (5 if that pick is within the top three)

There is one rule... The cup winner you pick has to be one of the two teams you pick to win the east and west.

The playoff series:

A - Dallas vs Edmonton
B - Detroit vs Anahiem
C - Colorado vs Minnesota
D - Vancouver vs St. Louis
E - Ottawa vs NY Islanders
F - New Jersey vs Boston
G - Tampa Bay vs Washington
H - Philadelphia vs Toronto

Now.. to make your picks, do as I do:

A - Dallas in 6 / 4 goals
B - Detroit in 5 / 5 goals
C - Colorado in 6 / 5 goals
D - Vancouver in 7 / 4 goals
E - Ottawa in 4 / 5 goals
F - New Jersey in 5 / 4 goals
G - Tampa Bay in 7 / 7 goals
H - Toronto in 6 / 6 goals

Cup winner: Dallas
East champ: Ottawa
West champ: Dallas
Leading scorer: Peter Forsberg

LOL I suppose so..

By the way I should add.. We'll be doing these picks for every round. So at the start of the second round you will have to make the same kind of picks again.

Just to clarify..

Gaborik rocks man ! wait, I don't watch hockey... lol

so I if I get the most points, believe me, it's all luck! lol

Eh, even if you don't know hockey that much, you can still take part.. I mean I took part in that BCS pool and didn't do half bad.

I know there are more that two hockey fans here..

Just wait a bit Lion, trying to pick out the winners while tossing out my sentimental picks...

Dallas in 5/ 3 goals
Detriot in 5/ 5 goals
Colorado in 4/ 4 goals (Really want to pick the Wild but I just cant)
Vancouver in 6/ 6 goals
Ottawa in 6/ 5 goals
New Jersey in 7/ 4 goals
Washington in 6/ 5 goals
Toronto in 7/ 6 goals

Cup winner: Dallas
East winner: Ottawa
West winner: Dallas (What to pick Detriot but I don't trust Cujo)
Leading scorer: Forsberg

Colorado in 4/ 4 goals (Really want to pick the Wild but I just cant)

I'd love to go with the Wild as well.. But how can you pick against Colorado right now?

West winner: Dallas (What to pick Detriot but I don't trust Cujo)

Detroit fans will find out just what I've been saying all along. CuJo is not a clutch playoff performer. Even today when his team really needed him, he let in two soft goals.

I don't know diddly about hockey, but since LT was nice enough to join my college football bowl poll, I'll oblige his Stanley Cup poll.

A - Dallas in 7 / 3 goals
B - Detroit in 4 / 4 goals
C - Colorado in 5 / 6 goals
D - St. Louis in 6 / 4 goals
E - Ottawa in 4 / 3 goals
F - New Jersey in 5 / 2 goals
G - Washington in 6 / 8 goals
H - Philadelphia in 5 / 5 goals

Cup winner: Ottawa
East champ: Ottawa
West champ: Detroit
Leading scorer: Milan Hejduk

Yeppers. I owe you an apology though because before the season started I was flaming you awfully hard on your stance considering Marty Turco. He really proved himself this season. Hell, lowest GAA in the modern day of hockey. I'll owe you an even bigger one if Turco proves himself in the playoffs as well (As I am hoping he will since I have Dallas winning it all.).
