I have only had five AV's because for the longest time I did not put one up.

The first one was a Plan, an F-22 actually, because I like planes. That one stayed up the longest and then I put up another plane AV that was a Su Berkut. Very rare experimental Russian fighter.

After I got my digital camera I put up a shot of my face and upper body but I started getting freaked out seeing my head there all the time.

I have been in a firearms mood lately and therefore been putting up gun related AV's. The previous one was the business end of 30mm GAU-8/A Gatling gun. This is the gun that the A-10 Warthog/Thunderbolt II was designed around. The most powerful gun ever to be put on an aircraft.

The current AV is a night picture of the USS Wisconsin firing her 16 inch guns in 1990 or 1991.

Call me weird but I just see a very ironic beauty in these pictures. They have incredibly destructive power but at the same time I think they are beautiful

i have to agree with you, CarolineOh, i think i prefer Azwed's self pic as an AV, rather than guns, and things blowing up... lol.. maybe it's because we are female.. i know i would much rather look at a good looking man, than a gun!! But, to each his own! sierra

I guess I'm one of the boring ones that Never changes AVs. I tried once, but couldn't stick with it. I DO have a kabuki demon that I get out on Halloween! I picked the one I'm using because I think it is a nice contrast to my true nature. I sometimes try to come off as dry and aloof, in a very tongue-in-cheek way, but I am a silly prankster to those that know me well, esp. in RL. But I am still a lion at heart, so maybe there is truth in it, too. Besides, it is an image that is near and dear to my heart, since I was fortunate enough to see a performance by the actor pictured, twenty years ago and half a world away.

I love the variety of AVs on the board. Some people change up all the time, and that's fun, and some people stay the same, and that's comforting. I like it when somebody gets a theme going, and plays with that. It becomes kind of an inside joke.

As a newbie to the BB, i don't have one yet, I've already started my search for the "perfect" one for me tho'

Any idea's on where to search for them? where does one find them anyway?

I've seen a few threads on here that have some, but other then that I don't have a clue where to find one.

Once you have a hundred posts on the board you can choose whatever avatar you want...

You can resize a picture or choose another picture, but it can be no more than 150x150...

i forgot to give the maddog the news. i never knew about the 150x150 limit.

She's quite right though iamaddog,at the top of your screen there's a little button which says "user cp". That'll take you to your own personal Control Panel (i assume you've been there to edit your profile)

You also have "Edit Options" and avatars is at the bottom of that list.

So find the picture you want, (nothing copyrighted preferably) cut it down or shrink it with any graphics program. After your 100th post, you can upload it from your disk. You can change it as the mood suits you too, and it will change on every post you've ever written.

My avatars all have a bondage theme, and also resemble me, in an idealized kinda way, with long dark hair...

This one is my favorite so far

I just wish it would reduce clearly enough to be a chat icon. But that small, dammit, you just can't see the bondage.

I have just found some nice pictures so here is a new AV for me. Its pretty close to how I look (hair attitude clothing pose etc) but I don't have anywhere near that much in the breasts department!

You realize , petrel, that breasts like that on such a lithe and elfin frame are freakishly large and unecessary.

You aren't by any chance a dancer are you? If that picture really does resemble you, i should think you have to exert yourself just to touch the ground.

I love to change my avs alot,mostly mine have some sort of bondage or something outright sexual, but all of mine have to be approved before I put it on.

I was told that as long as I kept the pic in my sig line,he didnt care if I changed my av.

These days I just use pics of myself that I like for whatever reason. This is the only one I've used here so far. I was trying to mimic a pose I'd seen on some other website. I generally keep my face hidden, and try to use pics that aren't obviously my own...if that's possible.

Hello, cym...pleasure to meet you. I only started posting a day or two before you came back I think. Pleasure to be here, keeps me from working too hard.

Yes, The Thinker...I did name the image "think" originally before it was uploaded. And the image that I got the idea from actually was a professional model. Trust me, no comparison there. But thank you.
