I previously answered most of this question on another thread, in response to a question posed by Gauchecritic,

“Was I the Quasimodem who hung out in the in the Yahoo Trivia Room?"

My answer was, no. I DID hang out in the Yahoo Trivia Room, but the Nom I used there was Pyed Typer: due to the rigours of chat room speed typing competion.

I did have a Yahoo Briefcase using the Nom, Quasimodem, but after several months, when I went to sign up for the email agent, that Nom was already in use. This was some time after I stopped hanging around the Yahoo Trivia Room, due to technical problems.

I also ran a Yahoo Group under the Nom, Virtual Burlesque, that found photo’s in various USNET Photo Posts, and re-labelled them for humour.

Example:

Naked chick wearing only boxing gloves standing over another chick spread eagled on the floor.

Original Title: “Dyke knocks the shit out of blonde bitch.”

Changed Title: “Nancy had never learned to take constructive criticism easily.”

You get the idea.

I had several Noms for various USNET posts, including writing posts.

At present, I continue publishing under my real name, on general, historical, humour, sci-fi and fantasy sites.

The Nom, Quasimodem, is reserved for my attempts at erotica, which appear infrequently, and almost exclusively on Literotica.

Originally I used visual illusion images, like: nine women who appeared to be the face of someone with a big nose and a ghastly smile.

I tried several, but people both failed to see past the illusions, and complained about the picture.

Finally, I settled on what I have been using for the past half-year.

My favourite stories, as a child were, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “The Adventures of Don Quixote,”and “Cyrano De Bergerac.” I really was able to identify with those heros.

Perhaps, that explains my choice of Nom. Perhaps not.

I went searching for creative-commons, commercially-allowed, alteration-allowed images. Digging thru the flood of pictures, I came across this, which is a crop of a larger picture. It looks suitably intriguing IMO.
