Hi there. I joined a week ago and put in a request to have my name fixed which was done in 24 hours or so. I also tried to update my avatar image but it has not been updated yet.
Is this normal? What is the expected time to update that? I do not mind being patient if I know a general timeframe.

Try accessing from laptop and doing the same setting. If not use a different browser

It can sometimes take a day, a week, or on many occasions longer. I know as i changed mine a few times

Back in the day getting an avatar was based on post count. This may or may not still be part of site policy. Also, since this site started instituting it's "no NSFW images" policy, it's also been harder to get avatar approval.

Sounds like just another 'fell through the cracks' problem. Perhaps a message to Laurel to nudge her, as for a story that's stuck in pending. Of course avatars might be low priority, like edits as opposed to new stories, so it might not produce immediate results.

I chose this avatar at about the same time I created my account. It was approved within a couple of days, as a story would be. I had no (or virtually no) stories or forum posts yet.
