It IS in the FAQ on the main site, where the stories are.

It's also in the "FAQs Before Posting" thread in the How To forum. That's a good place to check first when one has a question about how something works here in general, as there's a lot of info and clear instructions on common tasks.

It's also easy enough to search thread titles for something like "avatar" using either the forum search (there's a link at the top of each page) or google (use 'site:forum.literotica.com avatar/whatever you're looking for' without the quotes) when you have a question.

Silentsub, the 100 post rule for AV's is actually very smart from the owners' perspectives. MANY people who register actually leave and never come back before they achieve 100 posts. By allowing everyone to get an AV right away, the images posted by those who leave would be taking up a lot of space on the servers, which costs a lot of money. Why should the owners spend money on something no one's ever going to see or care about?

Most of us see that the owners are doing us a great service by providing us a place to learn, discuss, meet people and enjoy erotica. That's worth a lot, and they're not charging us a thing, so we focus on being grateful and trying to see their point of view, rather than complaining. When you think about the reasoning behind the policies here, you'll likely conclude it's damn sound and comes from a place of common sense, rather than some idiot who just likes to make up rules for fun.

Welcome to Lit. :)
