Authors input appreciated on an idea!

Im only kinda new at this, but i figure it'd be sort of quite neat, if amongst the authors there was an author of the month, a sort of mutual respect, voted for by the authors, and then the one with the votes wins, no prize unless i can think of something or someone else has any idea, but sort of, i dunno, a sort of pride thing? any ideas, if its stupid say so and i'll ditch the idea, but id appreciate feedback.

Occasionally we get organised enough to run the Critic's Choice award which is run pretty much on the principles of what you've just outlined. You'd have to ask Chicklet as she's the moderator for the next round.

How about a contest for longest sentence? The one above gets my vote. Is that "stream of consciousness" or a stream of something else?

I think we should revive Joseph Conrad and submit Heart of Darkness. That sentence was two pages long, for cripes sake!
