Authors’ work pages not up to date?

You are a new author submitting a non-contest entry, which basically puts yours at the bottom of the pile.
I don't think I would describe new authors as going to the bottom of the pile so much as Laurel feels a need to do a more thorough read than she will do once she has more trust in them and their stories. Same effect (slower approvals) but very different feel.

Hi, I'm a new author here, I've had three chapters of my story published, each one taking 3 or 4 days from submission to publishing.
On the 14th of August I submitted my fourth chapter and it's still sitting in Pending. Following the FAQ about publications times, when it passsed the two week point I I submitted a message to support, but I've had no reply, is this normal?

I'm really not trying to hassle anyone, if delays are normal then I'm good with that, but being new I'm worried that I've done something incorrectly and my submission is perhaps "stuck".

Two weeks is a while. I suggest you PM Laurel. You probably won't get a reply, but your story status might change to New. Or Rejected... bummer.

If it is in pending now, you got it submitted. If there is a real issue with it, it will be rejected (it does happen, and to most of us in one of our early stories, so don't feel too bad if it happens).

You say you message support. Did you send a message to Laurel? On rare occaisions, she does let something fall through the cracks. ElectricBlue also just suggested that, I see. Listen to him, he has much more experience than me.
