Sleepless Night

Well, for the first time in weeks I am just not able to fall asleep. (Wonder if it's because I have so much on my mind??)

Lit just published my third poem, "Thursday". It's another sad one, but it does describe part of the restlessness I've been feeling.

Just wanted to post a "g'day" and hope we all have a comforting weekend.

A fun poem for Christmas

Syd`s Christmas Tub

Was the night before Christmas
And Syd’s was alive
As tubers came calling
From far, and from wide
The joint it was jumpin
The tub was aglow
When Max started servin
Boy did the wine flow

How Gem she did sparkle
Her colours so true
Stood there in the corner
With sweet Crystal blue
Tinker was squashing
And Bees she did buzz
Everyone laughing,
No sign of the fuzz

Miss Rissy was singin
And sexychic too
With ladylove smiling
And Chips in the crew
Night Owl was roostin
In branch up so high
As Songbird and Marty
Now started to fly

Oman and Jenny
They sat in the tub
Oh how we do cherish
Their sweet gentle love

Were havin a ball
As Bigdawg and Barkley
Leaned back on the wall

Then came the Aussies
To greet us once more

Your poem was lovely, Dragonette, and includes many of the feelings I have about our precious P.

I'm full of envy

LADYBIRD- you are not alone feeling as if you missed out on the talent shown on here as there is so much I'd like to say but the words just don't come to me,I can't draw and I'm not game to write a story although I've had some fantastic experiences and have an active mind constantly comming up with wild fantasies.I have tried to put it into story form but usually gets delited.
Oh well one day!
We have a world of talent in this thread keep up the great tradition one and all.

I am so excited to learn that you were born 3 days before I was!! The very same year!! My best girlfriend was born 4 days after me, the very same year!! I had discreetly left out my year in the Lit profile until today! Hoping that we can get together next year and have a hugh blast for our 50th!! Quite a milestone!!

Well the christmas hodoo has screwed me over again and this tear it hurts even more than ever as I thought my rotton luck had changed for the better, I should have known better.I won't be back till I'm over it maybe in the new year maybe longer depending on getting over the hurt again will not make it easy.

Hang in there xxxdover! As you can see from our postings, 'tis truly the season that brings not only festivities, but also a lot of sadness, disappointment and lonliness. This year seems to be a tough one for a lot of us.

Please don't feel that you need to be "up" anytime you post here! We're all connected somehow, even if we're separated by distance.

Glad you enjoyed the cake, Dragonette! (Glad I actually figured out how to get the picture displayed too!)

That's a beautiful gift your daughter gave. Hope you consider adjusting the pic so that it can alternate as an avatar for you as well.
