VA seemed to get hit hardest, some will not have power for another week yet.

The Kiwi's have had another earthquake, BANDIT:heart: isn't missing her old country much although we have been experiencing similar with some quakes on the east coast but only minor compared to NZ.

Meanwhile at home we are getting screwed big time by ALL the federal government politicians who give themselves a second payrise in 3 fucking months fucking thieving scumbags get intouch with reality you waste of oxygen cunts.

What do we get SWEET FUCK ALL!

ORLANTH, Take care mate, we would like you around for a long time yet plus you need to start thinking of the meet up your way so hang in there mate.

I found out today that there is a high chance that my brocken leg will never fully heal

Hang in there Orlanth. My Dad is getting to that stage too. He's starting to get a bit depressed again due to being so dependent on needing others help for everyday things. He had surgery again this week (3 stents in his leg) and it's not actually done anything, so it looks like he might end up losing his foot anyway. It's so sad, but all anyone can do is just try to enjoy the time we have left together. Anyway, I really hope your body has enough strenght in it to mend your leg.

Gotta agree with you there, Gil. I'm so unimpressed with our politicians at the moment! More taxes on us so they can take home more pay! It just donsn't sit right with me.

WQ - you need to get to Perth! We've had BEAUTIFUL weather here...hard to beleive it's actually winter!!

8 more weeks until my bub is due. Can't wait to meet him!

I hope everyone is well and enjoying the weekend.
:rose:

No.
But you can bet that Mr Abbott will do everything he can to make it seem so

Abbott could of killed the Carbon tax thing but instead of his usual JUST SAY NO to everything he let it through so he can continue his scare mongering & it's working well for them.

I am slowly making plans to leave the country if Abbott wins the next election.

Orlanth - that is not good news :(
Are there any treatments you haven't tried? Maybe it's time to explore 'alternative' options?
I spend many years (and many, many $) trying to find a way to get rid of my psoriasis. At one point in my early 20's, I was about 70% covered in it - ugly, weeping skin condition.
Nothing the specialist dermatologists tried was making a difference.
Then I heard about cow pox ointment.... and thought 'I have nothing to lose!' so I tried it.
Now, at 44, I have been lesion-free since my mid-20's.
It's something my dermatologist poo-poo'd, but it worked for me.
So maybe it's time for you to research treatments that aren't considered mainstream?
You never know - something might help

With my complicated medical history going with treatments that arenot mainstream can be risky and will probably end up costing me my life so i will go with what ever the doctors say, there is one other treatment that they have not tried yet and that is to surgicaly remove the thyroid which is a high risk operation

lets hope the doctors are wrong

Doctors think my Graves disease is coming back for a third time

{{{Orlanth}}}}} I am so sorry to hear that the illness may be returning. I am keeping you in my prayers.

To clarify - I am not saying you should stop what you are currently doing. That is not a good idea!
I'm saying perhaps look into complementary treatment options. Things to do alongside what you are currently doing.

Orlanth - so sorry to hear of your latest news. I hope the doctors are wrong too. I suppose that is why they use statistics so much - there are lots of things that they never know for sure what the outcome will be. I think you deserve a bit of luck on your side for a change!
*hugs*

And so, Thurs night and I am staying with my daughter and her boyfriend for the night.
And I am cooking chilli con carne for everyone. With tomato, onion and coriander salsa, jalapenos and corn chips instead of forks.
Yum!

Btw - my chickee is due in a couple of weeks.
I will be a grandmommy soon :)

Hey, Orlanth. I wish i could do something clever and make it better for you, but I can't. All I can do is wish you well while admiring your strength and valuing you as a friend. :rose::kiss:

You know where I am if you need to talk, Sunshine. :rose:

Yes, it has gone very quickly! She's at 37 1/2 weeks now. Looks like she's eaten half a basketball though... still tiny! But bub is apparently going to be somewhere around 8 pounds.
And no, she stayed away from the jalapenos (not that they're hot  )

Wierdness day.
This afternoon, I went to my baby girl's baby shower.
Strange.
All her friends apparently love me.... and some of them (who are also pregnant) now want me as their birth-partner!
They say they like the way I won't take shit, and they are jealous of my daughter because I will be there to make sure she gets treated as THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON in the room during her delivery
