A mate went to race the Finke Desert Race over the weekend on a motorbike & ended up in Alice Springs Hospital very sore with rib & butt the main areas of pain after a crash.

He is OK apart from hurting all over.

Well next one in FNQ will suit you a lot better with less travel or dealing with bloody airlines who just don't care about disabled people wanting to flat with them in their new planes that they can cram more people into.

We will need a cheapish but good place to stay near food & other facilities & no bloody hills, poor Frisky was all sweaty struggling up the hills.

Not hilly where I live

Great to hear now stop sending that horrid weather up our way I've had enough of it.

 I HATE WINTER

Usually by the time Summer comes, I'm sick of Winter; and by the time Winter comes, i'm sick of Summer. But this year THERE WAS NO SUMMER TO BE SICK OF!!!!! Grrrrrr!!!!!!

Next time I won't forget that it's all uphill from Central Station and that a light woollen sweater is way too hot for May in Brissy. If I had caught a bus from the airport right to the hotel door, like you and Bandit did, I would have been stress free. That bloody King Edward Park was nearly vertical!!! Was much easier going back downhill to the station. :D:rolleyes:

Yeah, it looked very flat. Don't worry, I never make the same mistake twice! Although, I do seem to be very good at finding new ones.......
Hiring a car for the rest of my stay in Brissy was so successful, I think I would do that up there, too.

I'd give a tour. Do you like coffee?

be careful, they will steal your butt plug. :D

So is it a requirement to bring in a butt-plug when visiting Australia? Is it just good form to bring one?

I am extremely eager to visit your fine nation. Actually I am eager to visit one of your fine citizens :D.

Is there a particular style or color that is least likely to be stolen, or should I just bring two so I have one left over? Can I sell my extra for profit?

I may have many more questions, but I will save them for the redheaded beauty ;)

Hey DB! Fancy seeing you here!!!!

There's a little rubber plug that has a wee chain attached and you can screw it into the wall so no-one can run off with it! Oh.... hang on... wrong plug....

:D

This is a new side to you! Or is it the Australian influence?? Trust an americaaan to think about making a profit.

And you say the nicest things....

And Aus has the BEST pillows! .... Just sayin....

Aw shucks ma'am, I was just stalking you a little

I think the internet should have been called stalker as it made stalking so easy you can sit at home & still stalk someone.

Actually KB is American & not an Aussie so he might be the one to check with about butt plugs.

Well fun trip to the surgeons today for the results from the cyst he cut out on my neck seems to hyave not been a cyst but -- squamous cell carcinoma meaning it was cancerous not to suprising seeing I was always in the sun as a kid & the spent more time at the beach than at home in summer & most of my working life was outdoors plus motorcycling, sunblock wasn't heard of back then either.

I've had 2 of them cut out in the last 10 years - legacy of many years skinny-dipping while living on the yacht (sunblock wasn't heard of then either).
Here's hoping you get the news I got, neither had spread.

One of mine was located close to my lymph nodes, so I had a lymph gland taken as well to make sure I was clear. That was the second one I had done.
Currently I have 2 spots on 'watch' but neither have changed in the last 5 years.

My Para Lymph nodes & half my Lymph node too back when my teenage Grand daughter was still in nappies.

I had a couple of suspect things cut out & tested in the 70s all clear with them.

So, today I had surgery on my thumb. The left thumb.
My right elbow is still out of commission as well.
I am royally stuffed
Ten days of not having proper use of either hand is going to be funfunfun!!!

hello all, I am Australian too.

warrior queen, I'm sorry for your injury :(

Hi and welcome to the aussies thread :)

Not a huge surgery - just irksome, in that now I have both hands restricted!

We're always happy to have more aussies here :)
Sometimes the thread moves a little slowly (r/l getting in the way!) but make sure you check in every so often.
