Mmmmmm... I actually discovered that the Vicks was better rubbed on my back....I ached with sore muscles from the coughing and the Vicks put paid to the aches very quickly....
BTW the chest is not what you remember any longer!
Did you ask Blue's permission to feel her??????![]()
cheered me up wonderfully with a call today so now it's no nes till she gets to her sons place in a few days time, then home on Wednesday.
Vicks is under appriciated & yes I have found it good for those aches & pains too but for easing the chest congestion the feet work wonders.
BANDITcheered me up wonderfully with a call today so now it's no nes till she gets to her sons place in a few days time, then home on Wednesday.

Stay tuned, B Girl, the WQ has promised there may be more of those delish pics in the future if the boys play nicely over on the GB ....
No... not well... but working on tossing this latest infection.
Still recovering from washing the cat today......and so's the cat, for that matter!![]()

Why would you need to wash a cat?
I got the self-cleaning model![]()
Apparently cats and anything "lily" don't mix....mine found all the stamens I had removed from a bunch of very large ornamental liliums ....and he rolled in them.
He managed to cover himself in bright yellow pollen....which had to come off. He's a white/tortoiseshell number with fantastically stained yellow fur.
It was really quite funny - the colour was awful and he wasn't at all sure about the shampoo and style! I think he will choose a different hairdresser next time!

I am lucky that mine likes to swim!
Any water, and she's right in there.
Like I said - self-cleaning!
Sorry to hear about yoir infection. Hope it clears up soon
I got bit by a snake on sat night. There's a thread over on the gb somewhere.
I'm still recovering - not from the bite itself (it was a 'dry' bite) but from the crap they pumped into me at the hospital!
A snake??????????
I didn't know that trouser snakes bit....![]()
Yep, on my right hand. I got him tho - hit it at least 3 times with the shovel.
There's a hospital protocol for snakebite. Have to stay in for a minimum of 12 hours so they can monitor you. And I absolutely HATE hospitals
It was funny tho - at one point I needed the toilet, and the nurse said she'd bring me a bedpan.
I freaked!
No way in hell will I use one of those!
I made them call the doctor so I could sign myself out and go home.
He saw sense and told the nurses I was to be allowed to move around if I wanted.
So I agreed to stay.
If it had been a trouser snake, I would probably still be recovering too
They can be viscious - and they tend to keep attacking!
Glad you're ok.... shame you had to whack the snake....you'll have to encourage only the well behaved snakes around your place and suggest that friendly little "hello" bites are not something that's altogether necessary.![]()
I don't as a general rule kill snakes. But if they come into my yard, near the house, they are dead.

Farm cats are often a good "house" deterrent.... and by the sounds of it you have one of those.
Let's hope that this is the only one of the slithery things you have to deal with this season....
Unfortunately, no.
This season has already started out badly - last year I saw one.
So far this year, the count is 7.
We're going to have a dry summer, so I expect more to come for the water.
My CadburyCat is the one who alerts us to the snakes.
She has this thing she does - almost 'pointing' like a hound!
But she stays well away from them.
