Ty for the warm welcome!!

I'm around the Syd area and found this place as somewhere to get my stuff out there and hopefully get better as writer.

And jeez this thread goes quick!

My gardening is going good, though at the moment i can't do much to it because the rain is making the ground to wet for my wheelchair to cross, though i am working on getting some covers made for my beds to help protect the plants from the hot sun light. Then i will be installing automatic watering to help protect my tomatoes from frost damage in the winter, and i will also be planting the companion plants for tomatoes. I have now set bed 1 2 3 4 up, but bed 3 and 4 still need to get manure to put through the soil before i can plant. I do plan and hope to be able to grow all year around once the covers are built and installed. I plan on having bed 3 and 4 planted and growing soon, i am just waiting for the rain to ease up a bit to allow me to go back out to my gardens

Tomorrow night i will be going to the cold chisel concert then i will be watching a convention known as blizzcon which will be starting at 2 am on sat morning and going through until 3 pm then starting again at 9 pm saturday night and finishing at 3 pm sunday. So it's going to be a long weekend for me and i will not be able to talk to anyone during that time so do not think i am purposly ignoring people because i'm in a bad mood

Staying public - initial surgical consult late feb next year, surgery approx 5 to 6 months later (if I'm classed as 'serious'. if not, then about a year wait) Free.
Going private - surgical consult early november, surgery within 6 weeks after that. But exe.

I'm glad that I haven't needed to wait for most of my operations although I can't get a knee replacement on the free list & because of this I can't attend church as I can't kneel on it.

LOL I know no one will believe the church thing but couldn't resist make this comment.

The thread is fairly slow these days as in it's prime usage days 10 or more pages in a night was the norm.

I have enjoyed your writing & look forward to reading more.

Sounds like you got things under control although the forcasts we have seen for you area looks a bit of a worry. Maybe you might want to think of a wheelchair accessable Green house for best winter & getting new seedlings established.

Do you really get frosts up there ?
BANDIT:heart: finds that hard to believe.

I haven't seen Cold Chisel for a lot of years & if they play like they did you will likely have a great night, shame Nostress isn't there to try to keep you well behaved & not leading others astray.

Enjoy your weekend with all the over night activities your attending but what is Blizzcon?

My dad plans to make our greenhouse wheelchair accessible for me to use. At the moment my seedlings are growing at the side of the house in the shade

Yes we do get frost up here at about 3 4 am but only in winter. If bandit still dosnt believe me tell her to come up and see all my ruined tomato crop

I heard that the concert is one of the best cold chisel has done, I am looking forward to going. As for no stress it was he was misbehaving not me, I am an angel remember

Hi Orlanth! :D

We used to get some ripper frosts in Brisbane. I remember fishing under sugarbags to keep the frost off, (The crazy things people do....) and covering plants for the night. Hail damage was a pain, too. I didn't think of frosts THAT far north, though.

Looove Jimmeh!!!! Rip a scream for me, hon! That concert will be one to remember.

Um.... an angel, Orlanth???? Really????:rolleyes::cool:

Woo Hoo! I am feeling soooooo clever! Wi-fi is set up and working, just in time for the weekend. Gentleman cherub is here tonight until Sunday. :D

Diet is on track and pretty painless, after initial sugar withdrawal. And I wasn't cranky at all!! Wonders will never cease.

Frost eah, sound like growing up in Canada after we'd get the gardening done thinking snow was done..... then bam a spring snow kills all......

Turns out, my lovely big flat-screen Samsung tv is not compatable with my LG recordable dvd player
So now I have to go buy a new recording device - will most probably go for a static hard drive with hdmi recording capability rather than a dvd.

No, I really have no idea what I just said!

The great thing about frosts in QLD, is that it stops the sandflies for a while!

An ex-boyfriend of mine was the light-mixer for Jimmy Barnes, so we toured with him for nearly a year. Pretty much cured me of Chisel fever!

Sounds like everything is sorted apart from the weather up there so the gardens should be amazing in time.

All good news in Frisky town.

I have a busy weekend with a School reunion Sat night & Speedway & Flattrack bikes racing on sunday with good weather predicted for all weekend.

Next week it's back to the dentists on Thursday for another round of will he do something or not.

AHHHH Canada is one of my most favorite places specially the Western Rockies, the Icefield Parkway, Radium Hot Springs are just some of the places I enjoyed.
I also spent a bit of time in Alberta travelling around the place too.

what does it mean when I will be cheering for the all blacks tomorrow

You'll be cheering right along with BANDIT:heart: as she is a Kiwi, we have a Kiwi plag, an All Black flag & a New Zealand National flag all flying on our balcony.

how will you be able to sleep knowing that they are There on the balcony
my god there are limits
;)

You've jumped on the Browagon like many others will be :p

Although I'm Aussie to the core BANDIT:heart: is Kiwi to the core & goes for any team playing the Aussies in any sport except South Africa, she was even cheering for Wales in the play off for 3 place against the Aussies.

I did tip the All blacks to win because they are a team who play with great passion, have skills & home town advantages which all gives them a massive advantage of France.
