Excitement is a word I use very carefully Gil but really for the most part it's a good life am still working ....albeit for myself but still it's work and when we can we get away for the occasional wild weekend.....the difference now is recovery time..... a tad more required.....spent most of the previous 10 years helping my wife fend off the big C but it appears as though she has been really good for the last 5 so we are taking that as a good sign. How about your excitement??

I'm not as involved in motorsport (dirt track speedway) as I was but still involved & hope to see some racing tonight (it's 1.20 am saturday here now) & then sunday some speedway karts racing.

Sometimes venture out to see some old rock bands too. Not as wild as I was but very happily married to a lady I met right here on LIT.

Glad to hear your wife is doing OK in the fight against the big C, it's a tough battle as I know several people & friends who are, have & some who lost the battle.

Aaaaannndd... Then the day just gets worse.
The school tried to ring me today. I missed the call.
So when I got home, I called the school but nobody knew what the hell was going on.
THEN I find out that the school rang the bastardex! About the kidlet's behaviour in a class.
They had NO RIGHT to call him - he is listed for emergancies only

I wouldn't be so upset if it weren't that the ex and his father (kidlets grandad) kicked the kid out and told us we were 'Welcome to him':mad::mad:
As far as I am concerned, when you make a comment like that, you forfeit the right to be part of the kids everyday life - ESPECIALLY when you live less than an hour away but can't be fucked coming to see the kid, and when you've tried to call him exactly 5 times since December 10th last year :mad::mad:

Tough times W.Q. but at least it is the weekend now so you can enjoy your time without the hassles of the week your had.

Why is the EX still contact for your son who he kicked out? surely you could find someone else who isn't an arsehole.

Glad to know the wombats are recovering too.

Only

Thanks...............I am near Ottawa in Ontario. I occasionally (more frequently when I was younger but I am just a dirty old man now) drive in Quebec and New York city so I think I could survive in Aussie land. I have travelled out west and loved the mountains but my wife is from this area and would never consider moving out there.

there for a month but AU is wonderful and would live there if they would let me.Single male is almost impossible unless you have a million dollars

The bastardex is listed for emergencies - like if the kidlet breaks a leg or something and the school cannot get hold of me.
We are both joint legal guardians, but I have sole custodial care.
Here in Tas, if the kidlet needs medical attention (up to age 16) they need authorisation from a legal guardian.
So, I did the right thing and left his name on the paperwork.
Just dien't expect some stupid teacher to use it for something other than emergency, and it should never have happened

I don't know about now but it used to be parent (one) or appointed by parent & some had next door neighbour, minister or friend. Although I was working & my daugters mother wasn't I always got the calls because she was never contactable & I lived more than an hour away with her mother living streets away. :(

So is that 2 wheel or 4 wheel racing? There is a track near us but I have never gone I am fascinated by the Formula guys and gals though.
That is a good news story about internet dating then.... where your wife is concerned.
Yeah..... it felt like we inhaled one year and never exhaled until just recently when we finally decided we're just gonna live and that's that.

If the bastardex gave a shit about the kidlet, I wouldn't be so cross.
But he's made no real effort to either see the kidley bean, or to even phone him on a regular basis.
Kid doesn't understand why :(
He hasn't seen his dad for 10 months - and now, because of this phone call from the school, he wants to lecture the kidlet on his behaviour?!!!.
I can see a very clear corelation between the kidlets behaviour and the days when lack of contact with his father gets to him :(

I used to make gentle excuses for the bastardex not staying in contact - now I just tell the truth, hard as that is.

In all the crap from yesterday, I completely forgot to welcome you! Very remiss of me... I shall be sure to demand a spanking later!

So - welcome to the aussies thread

On a more positive note - it's finally raining!
Not petty little sprinkles, proper tank-filling rain :D
Ima happy chickee.

Hopefully it will keep up like this for most of the day.

It was winged sprintcars, wingless sprintcars, midgets, late models, street stocks & fender benders too with tomorrow being Speedway karts then next weekend being flattrackers & speedway bikes, following sunday is flattracker racing with inter club challenge.

I totally understand....spanking???

Thanks. You've more than made up for it. My thoughts are racing now and that's probably just what's required. I think you were just dealing with life and we know what that can be like sometimes.

The real thing

I have a bil that was into that as well now that I think of it. He just travels around to the events now and I wasn't in the family when he was actively racing.

Cheer up Trisk

Remember every day that passes, brings the day you see them both again, a little closer.:rose::rose::rose:
