I do like apples actually. Now about this jade piece - I thought it was a computer mouse.

Well hello there,

Nope it ain't a mouse but I can see how you see that. I got it while in NZ the other year. Kinda hard to find NZ jade in NZ. It's there they just can't use it without permission.

That piece also doubles as an axe head , not that I intend to use it as such, it's a piece for a guy to wear.

Sorry I have to cut and run, my dinner is ready. I read about the crash in the other posts. Not a good thing to see let alone being there. Not easy to see somone die.

Now you keep eating them apples. I'm more a mango lover, no that doesn't mean I'm sticky and sweet. Now don't make me explain that one:D

Interesting piece then. Like mango myself but I like all fruit except bananas.

Enjoy your dinner.

I just wanted to comment on your new av. I've always had a thing for ladies with long hair, and it gets me that much more when they look after it and it has that beautiful shine to it.
When I was 17, I was lucky enough to go out with a lady who was 42 (but looked 25) and she had beautiful blonde hair that fell to the back of her knees. The Sunday Mirror once had a photo of her outside the Sydney Opera House with the sun rising behind her. The reporter wrote that the sun reflecting off her hair made her look like she had a halo.
She went on to work with museums in London, Egypt and the Smithsonian Institute until she retired last year. She had finally cut her hair until it just reached her shoulders, but it was just as shiny as it had been 33 years ago. She was, and still is, a beautiful woman.
Your photo just reminded me of a very attractive woman, and one of the reasons that people used to notice her.
Thank you. :rose:

Thank you :) It probably sounds cheesy, but I like to think of my hair to be a gift from my grandmother, who died before I was born. She had long, thick hair that went down to her ankles. She ended up having to cut it off because the weight of it was giving her headaches and neck pain.

Mine's never been that long.. at the moment it's a bit longer than shoulder length and that's as long as it's ever gotten. I'm seeing if I can grow it to about half way down my back, but it's slow going and probably a year or two away at least!

hi

I have met some of the people in here. More than a year ago, I was not ready to understand where you guys were coming from (LB you can say something perhaps) though I was happy then. So I left and went my own way. But I kept remembering what we had talked about, and how we had enjoyed each others company (G&G twice)! Now I think I am ready to engage with others. Some like Guy are not doing as well as I remember him, but Bandit is still his carer.
So I hope this is still the best room on the net (2 sides to everything)
So hi all
Paul

got a message from australwind earlier this evening saying that it is looking likely it will be too difficult for her to get out and about and meet other brisbane litsters (awww). so it looks like tomorrow evening is off...

Paul.... so good to see you back here my friend. I was thinking of you recently - I was in Sydney last week but didn't know how to contact you.

I'm not sure from your message how you are, but I'm hoping you're happy and settled.

Stay in touch xx

I'm here, but I'm pretty tired.
We went to the funeral of the young sprintcar driver who was killed last weekend. Long drive (over an hour). I was sick last night (food poisoning, not too bad but washed me out a bit), so I need some sleep catch up.

Gil is doing a shorter dialysis (5 hours), he's on the machine as we type, finishes just before midnight. Will still have to strip and clean the machine and put it through a disinfect cycle (about 30 mins) before I can crash.

I'm sleeping in tomorrow! Speedway again that night but it's a monster truck show so the place will be full of feral kids *grump* As I've got older I have less patience - and I used to work with kids and I loved it....but they were rural kids quite different from city kids. Oh well Sunday will be a rest day *I hope*

Hiya and welcome malteaser, oldie from Perth here saying hello to all of the Aussies too. :)

erm, have you been feeling ill this week, miss poobah? or was the puking in mouth completely out of the blue?

I had a day off sick on Wednesday, but I felt fine yesterday so went in, and also felt fine this morning but when I got in the elevator at work, I started to feel a bit weird. Within about ten minutes I asked the trainer to take me to the first aid room and was sick on the way there so she sent me home. I feel ok now though... well, actually I felt fine again immediately after I was sick but that's what usually happens when I throw up. Not sure what caused it.. it was a bit random.
