With Deepest Regret

It is with the deepest regret that we report the passing of Scott Darley, Sprintcar competitor and former Australian Litrecar champion.
Scott died last night from injuries he received in a crash at Parramatta City Raceway whilst competing in a Sprintcar event.
Scott will be greatly missed by a large number of people both from within the Speedway community and his friends from other areas.
Scott was a very dedicated, successful and highly respected competitor and was considered one of the up and coming stars of the sport.
On behalf of all staff, officials and race fans, we pass on our sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers to Scott’s loved ones, his family and friends, in this most difficult of times.
The crash crew were fantastic, they worked on him until the ambos called it, and they all are trying to deal with it the best they can, but it's hard when several of them knew Scott personally.
I did not see the crash, which took place just past turn 4. I was watching Gil on turn 2 as I usually do, but the reaction of the crowd was horrified and we knew it was a bad one. How bad we didn't know until the meeting was called off and the police began doing investigations.
We went out yesterday to a get together of several of the crew...they are all quite shattered and by the time we got home I was too, I was in bed early (for me) and I'm still tired. It's going to take a while for us to get over it I'm guessing.

Hi it's Gil not bothering to change users.
Scott's death is the first ever within the Sprintcar division in Australia, It has been around 16 years since the last death at the track. Although for years we have seen the speed in all divisions grow & safety equipment improving motorsport is still a dangerous sport & everyone who races faces this every time they race.
Rasher & I were hands on at the scene & both BANDIT
& ICR were there for us as well as the effect it has had on them too, Rasher & I are blessed with loving partners who care about us as we do them, Rasher is my best mate at the track & away from it.

I just wanted to comment on your new av. I've always had a thing for ladies with long hair, and it gets me that much more when they look after it and it has that beautiful shine to it.
When I was 17, I was lucky enough to go out with a lady who was 42 (but looked 25) and she had beautiful blonde hair that fell to the back of her knees. The Sunday Mirror once had a photo of her outside the Sydney Opera House with the sun rising behind her. The reporter wrote that the sun reflecting off her hair made her look like she had a halo.
She went on to work with museums in London, Egypt and the Smithsonian Institute until she retired last year. She had finally cut her hair until it just reached her shoulders, but it was just as shiny as it had been 33 years ago. She was, and still is, a beautiful woman.
Your photo just reminded me of a very attractive woman, and one of the reasons that people used to notice her.
