Once again too many pages to reads back-any news gossip or whatever for me to catch up on?
Was great to meet roz and webbo yesterday-also to catch up the the rest of the victorian mob again-we dont do it often enough. but then i wouldn't be able to make it all that often i guess anyway! Was driving thru the city on my way home (with a slight detour) and webbo austral and roz all walked in front of me as i stopped at the lights-i dont think they even saw me. see what happens when you are a shy retiring sort of person with a common everyday car? people dont see u! next time i'll use my horn. i'll toot at them as well

Evenin' all,

Just back from four days of a bicycle film festival <www.celluloidcycles.com.au>
One of the great short films was Bush Bikes, about several kids from the Alice who made a couple of usable bikes from the findings at the tip. A lovely film which was shown twice, to great applause.
Others were more esoteric, and definitely for the cognoscenti, such as A Sunday in Hell, Joe Kid on a Stingray and The Collective. Red Light Go made me want to burn traffic, while Still We Ride made me very angry.
Tonight finished with a long film about Eddie Merckx and the '73 Giro d'Italia. Wonderful stuff and well worth the price of the season ticket(s).

Glad to hear that others also had a good weekend

I am not sure but I think I may have seen bush bikes, my kids went in the RACV human powered vehicle race when they were at state school and there was a few insperational films shown at the meetings. the amount of effort the kids done to compete in the bike race was fantastic, everything from Design and construction of the bike to diet and exercise for the riders. the adults stood back and let the kids work through any ideas with just the odd push to send an idea along a better path.......my kids team never one but always finished the race.

it was great to catch up with you again on Sunday, something we should try and do more often

Evening all ......

*looks around at KB's handiwork and wonders about how busy he was today*

Hi Trev ..... made it home in one piece then?

Find any more undersized carparks??

The local primary school are getting involved this year, I s'pose I should take and interest, although i know that a couple of good bike people are involved already.

Having watched some of the films about couriers I noticed that my riding style in the city had become more aggressive . . .

my lot had the basic frame supplied but had to sort the rest out them selves, we let them work most of it out by trial and error. it was great for them and a lot of fun to help them out
