I know a fair bit about them .... even to the extent of being the secretary of The Association Of Motoring Clubs and President of the car club I belonged to. I've owned or part owned classic cars since I was 17.

Like when they was real cars made from steel and not tin, when they each had a distinctive look and you new what a classy car was from the way it was designed.

Not like the crap we get nowdays.

You see ???!!!.... All I'm missing is the overalls and my own tool kit (my full toolkit for working on the old girl was pinched out of my garage)

Hey Cad ..... for some people cars are about as interesing and as useful as washing machines ..... they perform a function that we think we can't do without and when they break, we get another one. HO HUM!

For others, they are source of endless entertainment ...... and a sponge for money ..... :D

I had a very cute pair of white truckers overalls that came with all Hino trucks in the 80's ... they were sized to fit Japanese drivers so most of the truckers found they didn't fit! Just right for me though!

Oh yeah they love the money.
But what fun it is to drive them wether it be for a cruise in style and grace or to drive them hard on a track, right on the limit, squeezing every last ounce of power, grip etc from them.

Lots of cars built in the 40's and 50's that weren't "British" still managed to get Lucas equipment .... mine included.
Was better than the 6 volt otpion ... at least you stand a fighting chnace of getting repairs done these days .... no one will touch the 6 volt stuff any more

mmmmmmmm ......... you're allowed to think that way, but you're not allowed to use it as an excuse to sit back and say nothing all night!

No lurking allowed, Cad!
