Going ok this evening, but has been a real downer of a day though....
My grandfather died this morning, we were not close but it is still sad.
Very sorry to hear that roz-i know how you feel. when my grandmother died a few years ago i was pretty sad, even though I hadn't seen her in about 15 years (apart from other grandparents funerals) and didn't really like her anyway. Funny how that works. anyway heres a biiiiig hug for you-hope you feel better soon

you know there should be a way to delete posts like this one which was originally where i'd answered a question that had allready been answered. then i wouldn't have posts advertising how stupid i am

Chatting? About half the people going don't even post here.... Conversation has been somewhat limited.....
I know how you feel cad-i'm shy with new people as well. last year when i went to the sydney G&G i got cold feet right at the last minute-nostress and bertrande (both of whom i'd allready met ) had to almost drag me into the car to take me down to the RSL. or i may have been partly enticed by cleavage. however i had a great night and went back for the next 2 nights as well-you'll be fine.

my grandmother was the last of my granparents to go-i found it hard to deal with even though i really saw very little of any of them. I went out of my way to avoid my other grandmother when she was alive even though my father was living at her place at the time just because she spent any conversation bitching about my mother. Ok she was right in most of what she said but i still didn't want to hear it! I think the reason i couldn't deal witrh it was because all of a sudden i had no grandparents left and to me that made me seem older and think of my own mortality. Silly i know. My wife still has a grandmother so i've adopted her for now-i like her more than my own grandparents anyway
