I'm well and truly over the commentators who are SO disappointed when Aussie doesn't win a gold medal  You'd think there wasn't any other team competing sometimes. An aussie swimmer comes second instead of first and the bloody sky falls in.

Oh yeah I know what you mean.....they are such biased commentators........sssshhhh it kinda makes me laugh when we miss gold....cos it seems awful cocky to have such major expectations of winning gold in anything...sssssshhhh..........Very unaustralian of me to laugh like that

Well the track cycling events are over but there are still the time trials and the road events to go.

Apart from Channel Nine's execrable coverage, they are great

Love the Blue Lanes

Seems I am not the only unaustralian one here...
I really don't see the big deal. It's just swimming... most can do it. There's nothing very exciting about it, lol.

I've alternated between Devil May Cry 3, watching the rest of my Bret Hart 3-disc set and whatever ROH matches I want to re-watch :). Beats dodgy swimming any day.

mmmmm, maybe, it depends on what you are looking for, first across the line - boring, but look for the details, the technique, and you'll agree that not just anyone can do it.

Mark Cavendish in the Men's Cycling Scratch Race took the Isle of Man's first Gold medal in forty years, and he did it in a masterful manner.

Nine actually showed part of the race, after the five riders had stolen a lap, but before the end tactics had started. The New Zealander went early, the Australian was outclassed, and Cavendish romped home.

And the Meares sisters in cycling, the Grinhams in the squash, Jane and Natalie Saville in the Walk; its not just swimming!!!

Swimming puts me off watching it for the most part, still.
