Gil did the shopping today for the first time in ages, he reckons the supermarket changed where everything is without telling him
and the prices are twice as expensive 
I'm so frustrated with sitting on my butt all day but I guess the more I rest the quicker it will heal

afternoon aussies
i am completely blown away by the fact that for the first time in many, many years, someone has asked me what i'd like for my birthday???!!
all of my other birthdays (and christmases) have been peppered with gifts i am supposed to feel happy about - you know the kind....... where it's so obviously an afterthought that you just know you haven't really been thought about.
and then you have to put on the smile and make like you're thrilled to get soap
when i was asked what i want, i sat there completely stunned - and couldn't think of a single thing
things are most certainly different for me these days!
on that note, i should mention.....
monday the 27th is the day we leave tassie.
we're heading off on the ferry (everything is going into storage till we make some firm plans) and we'll head over to w.a. for a bit before working out what we're going to do.
yes - i am closing the studio...... my name here in d'port is now mud (as a result of me leaving the TIMTAM) and i am quite simply too tired to deal with all the crap i've been getting on a daily basis.
and it's not good for the kids to hear it either
so, we'll be in melbourne on tuesday 28th, before heading along the coast raod and across the nullabor (YAY! - not)
not sure when we hit perth, but i'll have the laptop with me and will post as often as i can on the trip. hoping to get across in about 5 days max.

That will be some trip if you are loaded up with kids and stuff ..... my advice ... take your time and don't drive at night.... too many trucks and wandering animals....
