Are you working?

Yes, I'm a driver in the main fleet, a sort of taxi service. We cover all venues, Traralgon to Bendigo, Geelong to Lilydale etc. and all the hotels!
Some of the crew have met some interesting people, although I've tended to put my hand up for the back room stuff, like driving a golf buggy around Docklands Stadium delivering things the other day!

That does sound interesting.

It's not bad, normally 7.00 to 3.00 six days a week, Thursdays off

My pb is taking ABC radio's Lyn Haultain in the car to MSAC today, but you wouldn't know the others,

(Bayley has just taken the gold over Scotland's Edgar)

Tomorrow will involve a lot of sitting around, it's basically an exercise to get the cars out of the garage, which will be almost totally surrounded by road closures; so if we need a car they have to be accessible.

Time to start a new book, I think I'll take Rats with me

I am being kept informed of what is happening by my 11 year old son... he is very excited by it all. :D

There is a buzz, and if you are interested in this sort of thing, its great. The only problem with working the Game is that you don't get to see any competition, indeed, the comps can hinder you with road closures etc.
I'm thinking of taking next Sunday off as I have been invited to be at the finish of the men's road race.

I was in Sydney, and not working, for the Olympics, and while the Games aren't as big an event, it still is having a great effect

Evening Cad :rose:

Evening ICR :D

Glad you are all well. I am great..had a big spring clean of all the kids rooms today.

Must have been the day for it... I suggested, (nicely of course) to the gremlins that they clean their rooms or I would. :D

LOL I suggested the same. Amazing how quickly they clean it themselves instead of mum having to do it.

Cad, nothing exciting happening here tonight. SO is watching the Squash finals at the Commonwealth Games.
