I'm fine.........broke but fine........I am really pleased I only have one daughter as she certainly knows how to spend my money!

She has her own, but there's limits .......... and she neded some stuff for her place........besides, its fun spending money occasionally

It's very easy to spoil them........... and I try not to do that.......Its too easy to lull them into a false sense of security......and I do not have bottomless pockets!

I can be tough on her sometimes....

You need to be tough on kids sometimes, helps to keep them in line.

Sadly my daughter has vanished again, after many years of her vanishing exploits in the past she had been almost a regular at keeping in touch but recently split from her partner & assuring me she'd keep intouch not a word ........ the phone has been cut off,no reply to SMS messages & no reply to emails, dosen't make for a joyous chrissy for me not knowing what is happening with her or my grandkids.

Sounds like she lives away from you as you would have gone tothe house otherwise.

she was living only an hour away but because of recent op etc it's to hard to get out there to try to find if she is still there or has moved away again.

Yeah i see the problem.
Maybe cause she left her partner she needs to resettle and is in the middle of that.

A quick tech question for you as you have been here a lot longer than me.
Is there a way to find the thread easier than clicking my user name in the list than the posts then getting in here that way?
Anywhere i can book mark this thread or something.

I'd never hit a woman let alone leave bruises, unless they wanted me to.

I have very fair skin....so the marks show!

Don't actually need to have been hit to have a bruise come up.....funny thing is I said recently to someone that he could be a little firmer in his handling, that I didn't break easy....and promptly managed to tear a ligament getting a little too enthusiastic and gymnastic!

Might as well have broken the bloody rib for all the pain I was in!

Well after Gil posted about his daughter we had some good news, she sent a SMS. She's got a new mobile number, no home phone at the moment and her computer crashed cos of a virus. But she and the kids are ok which is the main thing!
