Well I'm about to time out with my net connection so will also say good night & take Tony's advice & have some sex so even if i can't still sleep I'll not mind as much & BANDIT :heart: bless her never rejects any of my advances even in the wee hours of morning, I'm one very lucky guy.

Oh Tony we met here on LIT too then in person at the 2003 G&G where Trev got his title of "King of Grope". ;)

Well, it seems that the wee hours have become a popular time here... pity I was WORKING through them :rolleyes:

But it's all good - after all, if I wasn't working, I wouldn't be able to get to the G&G! (or to do the other things I want to do down there ;) )

Sorry LB but think the West Coast bEAGLES are doomed as they have only won a few of their last 9 games & one of them was a rip off.

Gee I almost sound like i know something about it all.
 
I'm really pissed off as I've devoloped peritonitis again fucking 4 times this year & all the specialist says is "You have to learn to cope with it" :rolleyes: This will affect me for the G&G as I have to do a lot of things to help control it & it leaves me exhausted, did I mention I'm pissed off. :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Feel guilty too because poor BANDIT :heart: has to take on being my nurse with the intense antibiotic treatment but at stage we do ahve a jump on it because we still have 2 days of antibiotics here & seeing it's the weekend wouldn't get anything till monday or I'd have to be admitted to hospital which brings on a whole lot of other troubles with back pain from the crap beds & morphine shots to cope with the pain & last time they ran out of it & then after getting out the joys of withdrawal making an already crappy time worse.

Did I mention I'm pissed off. :eek:

Yeah.. well.. The G&G falls smack bank on my access weekend with my daughter..
so.. unless my begging and groveling to switch weekends pays off..
I won't be going ..

I spose I could pop in for half an hour or so with my daughter, as long as you all be on your BEST behavior!

same goes for you Huggles if you need to bring your daughter along I am sure we can all behave for a while, at least then we get the chance to say "HI"

in about 40 minutes I head for Melb to catch the boat to Tassie, this time tomorrow I will be chating with WQ and her family. It will be hard to brake old habits and grope but I have promised I will try my best

Hospital beds are uncomfertable? I guess living with extreme back pain stopped me from noticing. When I had cellulities lst year, I never went through withdrawals from the morphine, then again I only used t for 2 weeks.

Jope you get better soon.

to their credit, the eagles played a better game this time than i have seen them play in the entire season.
to come back in the second half the way they did - all eagles fans should be extremely proud.

We're not so bad, Gil was going to go to the speedway but decided he felt too ill after all (sigh of relief from me). I've been going some googling and found that most recurrent infections are due to incorrect placement of the catheter - quote:

Most of the problems associated with peritoneal dialysis relate to the catheter. Catheter obstruction, abdominal pain, or malpositioning of the catheter tip may all limit the efficiency of the treatment. Infection of the skin exit site, the subcutaneous catheter tunnel, or the peritoneum (peritonitis) are all potentially serious, and not uncommon, problems which require prompt attention. While these infectious problems can usually be treated very effectively with antibiotics, occasionally the catheter does need to be removed in order to completely eradicate the infection. If a new catheter cannot be placed immediately, the patient will temporarily require hemodialysis.

Peritonitis is perhaps the most common major problem associated with peritoneal dialysis. Symptoms may be very mild at first, but if ignored, can become quite severe. Patients with peritonitis complain of abdominal pain or discomfort, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea. Fever may or may not be present. The drainage fluid from the abdomen is usually cloudy. Treatment consists of antibiotics, which can be added to the dialysate, or given intravenously. Unless the patient is very sick and unable to do his or her own exchanges, most episodes of peritonitis can be managed without hospitalization.

Symptoms of peritonitis usually subside within one or two days, and the fluid should clear as well. If the problem does not resolve quickly, or if peritonitis recurs shortly, there may be a more serious underlying complication or a more unusual type of infection. Bacteria have been shown to adhere tightly to the catheter, and even to become encased in a protein called fibrin. This may prevent adequate exposure of the bacteria to the antibiotic and prevent treatment. In such a situation, it is best to have the catheter removed to allow complete eradication of the infection.

So it may come down to having the catheter replaced, which will need one surgery for removal, another to have a vascath inserted so he can have the haemodialysis, and then a third surgery to put a new catheter in. We went through all that last year when the catheter came out. It had been in about 3-4 years with no problems but this one hasn't really worked right since it was put in. We are both so sick of him being sick :( :rolleyes:
