Sure it would be nice if you could travel with her and help out but you also have to enjoy your holiday too.
Couldn't she possible delay her visit to see her friend, unless her friend is having a shedule caesarean there is no guareentees she will make it in time for the birth anway.
I do agree she is being unreasonable in her requests and especially if she is calling you at 3am in the morning to discuss this.

funny thing about cats... they know if you don;t like em, and so they make sure to pay more attention to smooching you.

Hi LB - nice new avatar.

Seems to me, as though she is completely out of control with timeframes for the baby anyway - and having been through this just recently - she's better off being there AFTER the baby is born.

(your post indicated she wanted to be there FOR the birth?)

I couldn't think of anything worse than someone other than close family (and obviously medical staff!) being there during - it's a time for intimacy and too messy for friends!

I've had these sort of things happen to me - people have got bees in their bonnets - guess is she's taken something out of context and built up issues in in her head ?

Tony, unreasonable pretty much sums up my daughter in law. They're not even sure when the babe is due because she's not sure of her dates!!

Still, I'm frequently in her bad books, so its nothing new. She wouldn't speak to me for months after I left my husband!

Very steamy, very stormy.

I drove home from work into the night last night with flashes of ligthning crashing around - puts all the senses on edge GREAT!

Tonight - I'm in the pool proving I have what it takes to teach (hold my breath 40 secs, hold my breath 40 secs, swim 25m underwater etc)

should eb great fun if ligthning strikes.

seems to me as though it's completely irrelevant when she gets there - the point is EVERY part of the baby is great - so why not be there when things have settled down a bit. Mom and daddy will be bonding - and couldn't care less about others being in their face (even my mother in law was a problem for me...)

then - she's pregnant - "There's going to be a little one, She says it's time to go" and the Dr advises bubs is healthy but mom needs some help - he prays "Don't take the girl"

Most of my stories have been personal up until now - greasing the knuckles until I'm back to my original form.
