I think your just a loving mother who want to remember all the years of their growing up.
I have several pieces that my daughter did in preschool and she was shocked when I pulled them out as she thought they had all vanished.

Hiya Gil.. it's lovely to look back on your childrens art works isn't it. There are a lot of memories attached to them. I'm so pleased that I kept as many as I did, cos at the time they don't seem quite so valuable.

If you don't ware a nittie then it would be even better as I only ware a T to keep the chill away but I'm sure I would not need that with you there.
