I have three days off, not that I will get much of a break as I am taking 3 teenagers to melb for the weekend. mind you the saturday should be interesting as we search the goth and fetish shops for boots for my daughter.

Maybe you should have asked the Melbourne thread about goth/fetish shops.

I found a goth chat room and got some info there on where I can find the boots.
in fact there were very helpfull and interesting to talk with.

Oh why stop there ... lose the jeans and go fishnets.

Wonder how that will affect wind resistance. :p

good morning all

LB - sorry it's a bit late, but happy belated birthday!... remember, birthdays you have no choice about, but actually growing up is not mandatory! :D

i've been quite busy the last few days.... moving house.
have decided to move back in with the ex and the kids, and do the 'let's try this again' thing.
it's from a place deep inside that is beginning to frighten me - i have begun to feel just a little more mortal than before (might have something to do with losing so many people in such a short space of time, as well as the fact that a couple of surgeries await and i react very badly to anaesthetic... either one, i have begun to fear death and the finality of it all, and want to be back with my children 24/7)

i also have more than a few overseas visitors coming to stay for a while. and so have been busy organising travel, accom, etc.
my ex-inlaws from south africa arrive on tuesday, and i can't wait to see them.
they're lovely people and treat my children as if they were their grandchildren - even tho there's no biological relationship.
and then my mother arrives the weekend after they leave.
and then my aunt arrives the weekend after my mother goes!
hectic indeed!!!

it's my daughter's 10th birthday tomorrow, but we're having the celebration today, so it's going to be full-on for me for the rest the day. (i finished the poncho i was making for her - guaranteed she'll have a one-of-a-kind! yep, that's right folks - wq crochets!)

anyway, just wanted to touch base and let you know i'm still around, even tho i haven't been on for days ~sigh~

:rose:'s for everyone

not sure how it would go with wind resistance, but I am pretty sure if I pulled up on the bike in 5 ince heels with fishnet stockings covering my very pale legs complete with an abundence of red hair, the black eye liner and mesh Top.
I am sure I would have no more traffic problems as everyone would be keeping there distance

HI WQ
speaking of birthdays Its only 9 days till another very important lady from here has her big day, maybe just getting older can make a differance.

It does sound like a very busy time with all the visitors you have arriving, but I am sure it will be well worth it. just having someone stay tends to make you look at how they see you and tends to reflect on how you see your self. a little self examination can be a very good thing as it gets us out of the habit of just repeating each day with what we did the day before.

Nostress, you do like those fishnets...

Hi Mate
the fishnets would be an interesting look but shaving my legs for them would be a bitch, as hairy as I am its to big a job for a razor and a whipper snipper might be a bit messy.

anyway I am away for the weekend so will catch you all Monday night

WQ no matter where or what your doing just remember that your many friends are thinking of you.
I'm sure the kids will much prefer mum being close again & how are things going with the parlour?

Well there you go, you've just solved your own problem of peak hour traffic! :D
