Well Ladybird, where did you want to go or what you want to do? Since you are coming you should decide and I'll organise the troops *gets out tazer for use with QuickDuck* :D

yah, I know some people QuickDuck has as mates, I worked with 2 of them at both of my jobs prior to where I am now rofl, the world really is a small place :)

Maree... does this mean you're going to organise this? If so thank you.. thank you.. thank you..:D

Well.. as we'll all be talking a lot.. I thought a pub or similar relaxed place. Inexpensive of course, and maybe for Saturday or Sunday lunch instead of evening.. as places will be quieter then. Somewhere central too of course.

Then, if you could pm Sydneysiders... working from Dragonette's list.. and take it from there.

I'll be in Sydney probably the last week in April, as I have to be in Brissy on May 4 for Shazz's birthday.

You're a star Maree... thanks very much hon.. I'm really looking forward to meeting all of my lit friends in Sydney. :rose:

Well one option could be the Phillip's Foote Restaurant at the Rocks: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~brookscm/
From memory, bout 20-25 for all you can eat salad, you get to cook to your own meat - they have many choices. And they have a proper bar :) I think jugs of VB were like $7 :) Has an outdoor beer garden!!!!!!!!! Just down from Circular Quay or Wynyard stations.

Or Bridie O`Reilly's on George St. Meals run from 15-25, wide range drinks etc. This one's an Irish pub, right near Central Station.

Lunch be better, agreed :) And yes I'll organise!

So the 27th or 28th of April Sat/Sun? :p

Keep me posted

I don't get into Sydney that often, but as long as it's close to a train station!

I will try of course!

I'm about 90 minutes now by train from Sydney, since in now goes via the airport, and I need to get back before dark as I can't drive at night, unless there is cheap overnight accomodation.

Anyway, let me know

If you need a bed though Ladybird, I have one. But as I said, a bit out from Sydney central

Australia Day

HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY AUSSIES

ADVANCE AUSTRALIA FAIR

Australians all let us rejoice,
For we are young and free;
We've golden soil and wealth for toil,
Our home is girt by sea.
Our land abounds in Nature's gifts
Of beauty rich and rare;
In history's page, let every stage
Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

Beneath our radiant Southern Cross
We'll toil with hearts and hands;
To make this Commonwealth of ours
Renowned of all the lands;
For those who've come across the seas
We've boundless plains to share;
With courage let us all combine
To Advance Australia Fair.
In joyful strains then let us sing,
Advance Australia Fair.

meeting people from the net

Hi guy's
This is only my second time that ive posted a thread and im very new to this so help me out here L B and Dragonette.
Id like to know all your opinions about meeting people from the net. Have you had good experiences or were they horrible?
I have meet a few ladies from the net and i cant say they were all pleasant experiences.
But there have been 1 or 2 that were very lovely ladies and i ended up having a nice day/lunch with them.
But what i do want to say is that i have met one particular lady that i think is Fantastic and we have become the best of friends, yes she is married and her husband does know. But i just want to say that i adore her and although there have been experiences that have not been the best with other chatters this beautiful friend makes up for it... 1.4.3 to you know who???????

Id really like to hear from you guys on what you think.
Ps. Im going to beat you my Beautiful Friend to that magic virgin number??????
