I have sort of just discovered this forum so forgive me for just picking up the conversation midway. (also my first post so i am a total virgin )

Thunderstorms have to be one of my favourite things.

The summer storm which occurs after a very hot day.

The air goes very still and you can see the black clouds overhead and yet at the sides, you can still see the sun and blue sky.

Everything takes on a very erie glow and then suddenly the heavens open up and it literally comes down in buckets full.

Usually this type of storm only lasts for about an hour or so, but there is alot of thunder, lightening and its very very wet.

My other favourite is to lay in bed during the night and put up the blind.

From the level of my bed, i can only look up at the sky and watch the falling rain....thats the type that we had in Sydney the other night.

I love storms too. We had one here about two nights ago.. all of the sudden the sky opened and the just dropped.. it was so heavy. The lightening put on a beautiful skyshow, and the thunder loud. But what I love best of all is the smell. The smell as the first few drops hit the dry dirt. Its such a fresh and clean smell.. almost invigorating.
