The quake was very deep and didn't cause any damage. I guess since the Christchurch quakes everyone hears "earthquake" and "New Zealand" in the same sentence and immediately thinks of that.

Truth is NZ has been rattled and rolled since Adam was a boy, people are used to it and it very rarely gets bad like what happened in Christchurch

Right, well I finally know what's wrong with me, sortof
I have glandular fever. Yes, you can get it more than once (I first had this at 13), but it's not as severe as the first time.
But it will still be a while before I get back to normal.
I also have the added complication that because of this, I am not absorbing certain vitamins, so I now have to supplement quite a bit.
$60 later, my shelf is groaning under all the stuff I now have to take.
Still - it is nice to finally have a diagnosis.
Now I just have to get well!

BANDIT's daughter isn't sure if she is still suffering from it or if it's her being pregnant.

it has something to do with my glands being so overwhelmed.
I asked the doc to check calcium, iron and D, so he decided we may as well test for everything.
And there were a few that were well below range. Because I eat a very well-balanced diet, the conclusion is that my body is too busy fighting to extract and absorb some of the vits and mins that take a bit for the body to get out of food.
That, plus I seem to have high levels of certain nutrient in my urine, meaning they're not staying in my body.
I'm much happier now that I know what's going on!

I think it's just a case of rest and recovery for her. I got a text the other day she's been to see the midwife, all her bloods are good and baby's got a strong fast heartbeat
