cold doesn't even begin to describe it - tonight we're expected to get down to minus 3 again!
only 2 more sleeps to go and i'll have my man to cuddle up to again for a while... and for the first few days it'll be on the mainland where the night temps are a far more respectable +5 or more.

i haven't seen the new pirates movie yet. no1son has, and he tells me it's great!
i'm a huge fan of johnny depp... i'd prefer him to be a bit taller tho! (i have a thing about short men these days.... noticing 'little-man-syndrome' more and more )

i've just finished preparing a lamb tagine for dinner. it's in the oven and i don't have to go near it for the next 1 1/2 hrs. i love my tagine dish - sooooooooo easy and scrumptious!

now just finishing off last minute emails etc before i leave tomorrow. can't wait to get on the ferry! there's always loads of single guys to chat with (i'm a perv, i admit it!) and the black russians are cheap as ($7/drink!!!)
i don't have to leave here till about 3-30/4-00pm, so i'll be around - antsy and excited - till then

I have been trying desperately to change the man's flight so he goes to Adelaide, but can't get thro to Qantas.
This is my 5th attempt and so far this time I have been on hold for 2 1/2 hrs

I've seen Pirates of the Caribbean 4, I liked it, but not as much as I thought I would. It's still a good film, unfortunately its no where near as good as the first one! Which is so often the case, the sequels seem to get worse as they go on.

You really dont want to sleep in the car, it'll be very cold and non too safe. There's no acccom between the Port (Ferry) and the airport? If I were you I'd take a side trip and find a motel thats not too far out of your way. Much better to drive for half an hour or so, to sleep ina warm safe room!!!

I've decided to come off the ferry in the morning, 6-30am or thereabouts, and immediately drive out of Melbourne. And hopefully keep going all the way thro to Adelaide.
The man is on his way to the airport to try and change his flight there - cannot get thro to qantas phone and the website is completely overloaded.
This is a huge inconvenience!

The airlines all reckon it will take up to 3 days to clear the backlog of 30,000 passengers!

i'm in line at the ferry terminal. The ferry company is selling cinema seats as fares (an extra 400 seats) because planes are still not flying here. The ferry will be packed! And there's another ash cloud coming, so flights will be disrupted for another few days.
