My daughter partner got retrenched today only weeks after being told his job was secure. bet my daughter wishes she had of listened to Dad wo told her not to spend up big & to save as much as possible.

More great Christmas news is we have to now sort deliveries for my dialysis machine our self yet we are saving the Gov $20,000+ a year be doing home dialysis, cost us $70 plus not long ago our rent went up $50 a week so much for the government hand out. medicine scripts have gone up again to plus the number of scripts needed to get the free meds list.

I can't seem to get into the Christmas spirit this year. Usually I love it and am like an excited kid waiting for Santa to come.. this year I just want it over with.

BANDIT & I seem to be the same everyday (happy in love) so Christmas is just another day to us but there is an up side as I get to see my grandkids for a couple of hours.

Bah Humbug indeed! I can't beleive all the awful things which seem to be happening to people this year. My thoughts are with you all.
Today work personally "thanked" me by paying me a day early...with my $512.10 (monthly) pay cut (which I knew about and had been dreading) ...while another department was warned of a hiring freeze (when most people are already doing unpaid over time) and warned of big budget cuts for next year.

On a happier note, I've got plans to see my little sister again tomorrow night.

Christmas...I'm over it and it's not even here yet

We went shopping yesterday (not for presents just a few groceries and bits and pieces) and it's bedlam. Apparently there were queues to get into Westfield Hurstville carpark yesterday evening, thank god we weren't caught up in that!

I've decided that I'm not going anywhere next week...the local servo has bread and milk and we're well stocked up, including medications. We only have to get to Gil's mum's place for Christmas Day and then it's 2 days of speedway in a row - plus have to fit some dialysis in there somewhere

Hopefully things will quieten down after Christmas
