Now be very careful.

ICR has a habit of sending pics to the wrong person - especially if she's had a drinkie or two.

Although, she's always welcome to sent them to me, I can be trusted. :D

yes i know she has a habit of doing that ladybird :D :D

Sure is! Its one of the local waterholes (about 2 hours drive from town) where we camped. Its murky but there isnt much in there except frogs and little fish - oh and an occassional python ;)
Are they friendly pythons at least?

Oh jeez yes! Now you know who the pics were for :D

Evenin' all,

Just back from four days of a bicycle film festival <www.celluloidcycles.com.au>
One of the great short films was Bush Bikes, about several kids from the Alice who made a couple of usable bikes from the findings at the tip. A lovely film which was shown twice, to great applause.
Others were more esoteric, and definitely for the cognoscenti, such as A Sunday in Hell, Joe Kid on a Stingray and The Collective. Red Light Go made me want to burn traffic, while Still We Ride made me very angry.
Tonight finished with a long film about Eddie Merckx and the '73 Giro d'Italia. Wonderful stuff and well worth the price of the season ticket(s).

Glad to hear that others also had a good weekend

The local aboriginal kids have a youth group project going where they put bikes together out of found ones, no matter what condition - think they call themselves the Deadly Mob....keeps them happy, constructive and off the streets - all good things!

And how are you other than that Mudge?

It could be the same kids; there was a shot of them in the Mall, with the cops telling them off good naturedly, I wondered if it happens that way when there aren't cameras rolling.

Otherwise, I'm OK, my chiropracter has been busy working on my back, all that Games driving and only a little bike riding makes mudge a crook boyo.

It was a good gather this afternoon, although I had to race off early to the films, I have a business trip to Sydney this week, and Easter will be doing catchup with work ignored during the Games.
Oh yes, I went to a funeral on Friday afternoon and a wedding on Saturday afternoon

And you are also well?

Blimey! Lucky you have to go to work so you can rest from your time off! ;)
I'm as well as I can expect - life is muddling along for me right now!
(No its different when the camera's are off becasue the bikes aren't usually found at the tip, they are found in peoples backyards generally)

It's easy to be unfocussed at work some days. I do several different things workwise, naturally some are more interesting than others and they get most attention, excet when there is a deadline and money is involved!

I hope it's not too much of a muddle for you.
I know that Katherine is way north of you, but is there any effect in the Alice from the floods that they've had in the last few days?

just stopping in to give my dear friend ladybird a special big hug!
Five years ago(OMG!) i stumbled upon lit chat on a sunday morning (US) like this and met this wonderful lady! Her friendship has helped fuel my LIT addiction for a long long time! :D

There isn't really at the moment except a drop in temperature which is about right for winter coming in anyway....we may see some water in the Todd and the Finke ..especially as that area and others are likely to stay flooded for a few weeks yet....lots of people are and will be stranded despite BOM having road reports available.....
