still morning and good morning to u as well

Hey hon - I just looked at your weight loss thread - good on you! I am only 5'3" (162cm or something like that) and I was weighing in at a lot more than that 3 years ago - I'm now 69kgs and feeling absolutely fantabulous for it! (Ok, it was a lot mroe than what you have to lose but I'm not telling)

You don't need to lose anywhere near as much but you will certainly feel the difference - I see you are doing extremely well too! Are you feeling more energetic? I did, as the weight came off, which made it easier and easier to exercise, and the salads have become a preference now over fatty foods and bread etc. so its so easy to maintain the new weight.

Another thing I used to do to encourage myself was to measure myself: waist, hips, butt etc. It really helped when the scales were saying nothings happened, but my clothes were looking baggy in spots.

One major bonus (for those of us who are shopaholics) is that you have to get replacment clothes unless you like having your knickers fall off in public because they are too big now! :D

Your very welcome - I know how important it is to get as much encouragment and support you can! And you have motivated me to put a ticker up on my annual attempt to give up smoking - so thank you ! Hopefully it will push me to be successful at it this time!

Yep sure am! 1500kms from the closest city - and I love that!
i did post back then about how much i liked it there when i visited-i was about 13 at the time I think. would have been 1978-which means i was actually 11-younger than i thought. beautiful area-climbing the rock (back when it was still ayres rock) was fantastic. i also loved ellory gorge (bet i spelt that wrong). Our car broke down (towing a caravan up the sturt highway turned out to be a little bit rough on the old fiat) so while waiting for parts to be shipped in (no fiat parts available up there-we had them bought in thru the vw dealer) we hired the only vehicle available-a mini moke. 6 people in a moke is an experiance let me tell u!

You know I still haven't climbed the rock! So many people I meet in alice haven't done it yet - mind you its a 500km drive to get there so its not like its in the backyard or anything (thank goodness - it would mess up the view).....I was camping at Ellery Creek Bighole (yes its also a gorge when its dry) a few weeks ago - absolutely lovely! We had dingo's around our site all the time we were there (stealing our scraps) and frogs on the table at night eating the bugs. We were very lucky to see the waterwall come through as it had been raining on our drive there - wicked watching the waterhole overfill then pour over into the creek - got lots of pics :) The noise was amazing too - the roar of the water coming down...Once in a lifetime moment that was!

There are so many great places to see here, and we have only just decided camping is our new get-away - so we have the next two years of spare weekends booked up all around Alice. Then we will work our way to Darwin maybe... :)
I can;t imagine even attempting the Uluru (Ayers Rock) trip in a Moke with 6 people - how bloody uncomfortable!!!! And I don't think we have FIAT dealership here yet lol

fortunately our car nade it to the rick-we stopped there for a few days before we headed to alice. back then the road from the highway to teh rock was like driving over a corrugated iron roof-the whole way-with a caravan too. thats where the wire shook off the alternator we toyght at the time. a mazda unit fixed that. the shockers also died-thats what had to be bought in. As theres really no fiat dealership in australia (they left australia in about 1988 i think) right now except for commercial vans i'm not surprised you dont have one!

I should say that quietly or my car will get jealous (she's only a Ford) :)

The weather in Melbourne had better be pretty good on Saturday at least ... I have a wedding to attend and a wet bride is not a good look!

Got time to catch up with any of us Melbourne people, Ros?

This is our first ever weekend away without kids (11 long years!!!!)
As for catching up, I hadn't expected too, but I would love to... quick planning may be required though

Best thing to do is see who else is interested at short notice, set the time and day and if they can make it, they can make it....... sort of what we did when Geronimo Appleby and his wife were over here in Jan ....... four of us were able to be there for that one..... :p

OK, so maybe Sunday lunch or dinner, sounds like the best for us..... how about anyone else???

Possible that there could be some other takers on Sunday for lunch .... allows for the people who live at a distance to travel in and home again .....
