Definatly. The amount of safety equipment in today's racing cars, in any degree and/or division is astonishing and much needed. It's still amazing how cars can get faster and faster, yet safer and safer all the time.

Always. There woulden't be much point to racing if it wasen't. If there was no danger there would be no such concept of the ragged edge, pushing one's limits. If there was no danger you could throw any person in the driver's seat and they could go flat out without having to worry about. If there's no danger there's no racing IMO.

When i raced I never thought of danger & loved being among the pack bumping & hoving our way around.
