Hi everyone... and hello and welcome to you Orlanth.. it's nice to see you here amongst us.

In case you're wondering... I'm the token West Aussie.. others come and go.. I'm the only one thats stayed. Maybe I'm the only one with a life too ....LOL

Well, babys wardrobe and nursery is now complete... and granny is worn out and broke!

Kids... doesn't matter how old they get.. you still love 'em and worry about them. It's nice to be able to do little things to help out.

I've just realised... it's 6 months today that I left my marriage. It's a funny feeling. I'm not sorry that I did, but by doing so... I caused an awful lot of heartache for others, my husband especially.

It was such a horrible day.

Thank God its over..

I know its not really my place to ask lady but what pushes u to leave a commitment like marraige? i acctually have never really had a realtionship that has lasted over a month so i dot know anything bout it. I hope u are feeling ok as well i guess it would be pretty upsetting sumtimes.

It's ok drunkman.. we're all friends here.

It wasn't easy.. we'd been married for a long time..30 yrs. Most people would think by then everything was sorted out.

But if it's not... if you stay with each other cos the battle to survive and raise children can't be done alone... then when the day comes that the children have gone, and your finances are better... there's nothing there to hold you together anymore.

It wasn't a happy marriage for a long time... but it became a habit.. and I became so used to being unhappy, that I hardly noticed it anymore.

Then I made a good friend online, and I described my marriage to him, and he'd say to me... 'and you put up with this for 30 yrs!' It made me sit back and see things how they really were. And they were shitty.

Then, it took just one arguement, and I knew things weren't going to get any better.

But they have. Since leaving I'm a much happier person, friends comment on the change in my appearance.. that shows just what a difference it's made to me.
