Would/could donate but not sure there is a huge demand for mixed race males?

My donor is "Eurasian" (if that's not an offensive term???) His mother is Indonesian and father Caucasian American. His skin colour was listed as "olive"...and I've got olive skin, and dark brown air, so my son has the same colourings as me - but it could also have come from donors side!

And yes, local clinics will accept anyone as long as you're not carrying any STIs! Someone out there will be very grateful for sperm of any kind.
Actually, apparently there is a lot of people who're after red-headed genes. Not my preference!

I've just gone back on the pill and today started taking Roaccutane! (No, I don't waste any time...it's been 2 weeks since my IVF results...) I have been shopping for new make up and clothes, and when I get back from holidays, I think I'm going to try speed dating! It'd be nice to have sex again before I turn 40. :D

Not a redhead but there is in my gene pool. Probably complicates it further. Haha
How long have you got before sex in your 40's happens?
Asking for a friend.:D

I turn 40 in April. So I have a few months to go!
What do people do for their birthdays as they get older? I like the idea of having a party, but I barely see my friends anymore. We don't seem to have much in common since they all got married and do "family things" now. Life if quite different to what I thought it was going to be like. So I think I might just plan another holiday for me and the kiddo. Maybe Japan this time...I always wanted to go to Japan!

People just do what they want as they get older. It's the privilege of growing older. One of them anyway. And 40 is not exactly old.
Have had a few friends do Japan, mostly for the snow, and have all raved about it. Food alone has to make it worthwhile.
Are there not many options to help you out with your 'desires' before your approaching 40th? Is there not a decent sized pool of eligible and eager folk to help a lady out?
On this point I'm genuinely interested to know. Man drought is a thing? Or is it that the modern bachelor is not worth investing too much into? Some other reason perhaps? I do know that a woman should never have to just settle, choice is a real and valid thing. An expectation even.

Men my age are not seeking women my age. At least, that's the impression I get. I'm not 20, but I do look good for an almost-40-mother. I've tried internet dating, but the men don't seem interested. Even the one who said that he'd like to meet stopped messaging me. So. Meh. I just feel that the modern bachelor doesn't really want someone like me! I'm done with "wanting to get married and have babies" now. I just want a nice man to hang out with occasionally and have ( preferably lots of) sex with. But then at the end of the day, I am an only parent, so my life revolves around a 6 year old. Which isn't very attractive to men. And I get that. That's totally understandable. But considering I have to pay $20-$25 an hour for babysitting, they guy needs to be worth it! :D Something will happen at some point...

Sounds about right. If it's you in your avatar, then I'm amazed someone isn't prepared to fill that role. Even if it's not, I'm still amazed. Does seem an ideal scenario. Lots of sex with an attractive woman and a bit of hanging out.
But you're right, guy needs to be worth it.

Hey Pert,

You just haven't found the right person for you. Don't worry about the age thing. These days it doesn't much matter. Not all guys want younger partners, I've always gone for women either around my age or a little older, someone who understands life at the age I was/am at the time. If you come across as needy or desperate that is a turn off, staying positive and showing that you're a confident positive woman will attract people to you. Perish the thought but people still find someone the old fashioned way. Might be that guy at the local coffee shop.

As for my birthdays well I've always liked to travel on my birthday, usually somewhere around the country. Looking at going to Hobart for my birthday in Jan. Went to the SW coast of Vic for my birthday this year. Good to getaway from the usual routine of stuff going in your life.

Evening all,

Later than I normally log on here, but been doing research on show bags and doing the usual weekly email review. I was surprised to see that the show is ending on Tues. Thought I had more time. It used to go for two weeks when I was a kid, now it's like ten days.

Has been a rather lazy week. Been catching up with a video game I've played before, it's still fun to play. Good to have the option of staying in bed longer. Still chilly mornings here in Melbourne town. It was lucky to get past 12 yesterday afternoon. It should be warming up in the next couple of weeks. Apparently going to be 23 tomorrow but that doesn't mean much at this time of year.

So what a footy finals it has been. Collingwood in the Grand Final, who would of thunk it! Whilst I'm a Victorian and I should go for a Melbourne team, just can't do it. If it was any of the other teams from Melbourne then yes. Don't particularly like West Coast either but will have to go for them. Either way I'm hoping for a close content rather than that we've seen in the semi's.

Hope the rest of the week is good for you.

Yeah, totally not needy or desperate and actually have just been waiting patiently to bump into someone the old fashioned way....which is why I haven't had sex since 2011. And I swear I'm not that fussy. I figured it is about time I actually went a little more proactive now!

And oh yeah! I just realised I'll be away for the Grand Final!

You may not be using the right dating sites...... I have been inundated with offers! And have just recently enjoyed the attentions of a new lover (like, 2 days ago!)
If you just want to get laid once in a while, there are places out there that facilitate those kinds of encounters.
If you're looking for a white picket fence, you need to use the real world....... speak to everybody, frequent different places than your normal ones, get involved in something like dancing (great guys to be met there - flexible and athletic and energetic!).... that sort of thing.
I am a lot older than you..... and right now I am fighting them off! All the way from age 26 thro to 65!

Good luck x

Maybe? I only tried one and gave up after 2 weeks. I'm wondering if the whole thing about being a single mother and not being impulsive enough is a turn off for them? Because I told 2 that I'd like to meet - they seemed keen until I was trying to pin down a day because I have to organise babysitting. I can't just drop my kid off to the grandparents because I don't have that option! Anyway, I'm sure something will happen at some point...hopefully before I die of old age. I think I might try speed dating because at least that way they can see that I'm not some desperate freak (shhh, quiet you!)
And yeah, I gave up on the white picket fence idea a LONG time ago. Now I'm back to just wanting a boyfriend. Someone to have dinner and sex with, basically! I don't really want a one-off thing...that doesn't really work for me.

Anyway, enough whinging! I'm off on holidays tomorrow! Singapore and Legoland Malaysia here we come!

I hope everyone is well!

:rose:

Bell Tower Times has it spot on today. The waft of flowering ornamental pears and carob trees is carrying on the wind lately. Perth and Canberra have this. Smells like a 100 man orgy happened just around the corner somewhere. I was having a coffee in Subiaco today and to a visitor you would be swearing someone has just shot a load of cum at the table next door.
I grew up with a carob tree in the garden near my window. Maybe that's the source of my cum smell trigger point.

Yep that's the way to be. Let them know what they're missing out on. I would say I'd be rooting for you, but probably not the right language :D

Well you know that that there is a tree known as the cum tree, mainly cause if you strip the bark and smell it, it smell like cum. Would be interesting asking for it at the local garden centre :D

Afternoon all,

Just running thru the place. Weatherwise, its wet in Melbourne town. They changed the parade route for the Grand Final parade, I'm guessing cause of the road works down St. Kilda Road these days. Lots of wet supporters out there.

Was surprised with how warm it was yesterday. Didn't help that lots of people had the week off due to school holidays and they all seemed to be at the same shops I was at. Parking wasn't an issue, just people and their kids annoying everyone else with their trolleys blocking aisles.

Ok call me disloyal but come on Eagles, never ever would I see myself saying that. Oh yes and go Storm even though I don't follow rugby, silly game unless the Storm wins. At least I can cheer on one Melbourne team.

Hope your weekend is good. Will be daylight savings soon, so those going to work will be back to getting up in the dark again. Always hated that.

The weather today was disappointing given the other Friday Grand Final holidays we have had. I checked an app to see the forecast this morning, no rain until 1pm. Left for the shops and got drenched at 10.30am!

If you're going to the show, I hope you check out the new AgTech exhibit showcasing technology on the farm. As for the number of days it's open, it's been ten or eleven days for a while now. It used to open on the Thursday and close nine days later. Most of the animal judging is conducted before the official opening but there are still plenty of animals to see.

Was that a reluctant Come on Eagles DarkElf because you're firmly ABC?

(for you non-AFL types - Anyone But Collingwood)

Hi all,

I haven't been on in a while, not sure why (apart from my internet is rubbish at the moment...thinking of giving wireless a try).

It was very patchy weather. I went outside and did some gardening between rain patches.

I'll be barracking for the Eagles today. Go Sam Mitchell and Adam Simpson! Nice Hawthorn links in the Eagles hierarchy. The Eagles admitting they were beaten by a champion team in '15 doesn't hurt either.

I've been to the Storm home finals, and will be cheering loudly tomorrow. Actually considered heading to Sydney for the day to watch the GF, but it was a bit much.

I have been on dating sites for a long time, but used them rarely. Seems none of the women I meet on there give me reason to want to see them, and on the few occasions I've pushed through the dates haven't gone well.

There are guys out there who aren't so fussed about dating a single mother... keep looking and you'll find one, PP. But if you find one you want to try out, do what you can to prioritise the childcare.

The ABC crowd had a win today. From a WA perspective it's good to have a new latest victory and perhaps put the 2006 with an asterisk drugs and thugs tainted one firmly in the past. Reluctantly I will say that Collingwood looked the goods to start with, with physical play and a bit of daring attack. They were probably half a season short on experience in bring it to a full game.

Collingwood looked good all day but the Eagles kept on pressing. The Pies couldn't get the gap they needed in the later stages, even with a few lucky calls going their way in front of Eagles goal.
Were a few clangers there, which luckily didn't decide the outcome.
But overall the best game of this season. Either team could have won it. The last play from Mcgovern, to Ryan, to Sheed was textbook.
Just a really good hard close game of Aussie rules.
And the good guys won. :)

Hey buddy, have you got an option to network wuth other single mums? Maybe get a nite off a fortnight or something.

It pains me that you're missing out. Not just getting laid, but other social and personal time.
