Aussies! Check in here!

Happy birthday, warrior queen.

I love your plans for your birthday. My Dom recently asked me what I value more than praise. I said "time".

Happy birthday warrior queen. Let’s hope your 50th goes off with out any issues...:rose:

Sooooo footy starts in 4 days.. who is as excited as me to see the real stuff come back on....:D
I’m happy to say my membership is paid up..and happier that for interstate that it was cheaper this year then other years previously. Considering you only get to see one game in the state.

And SA is now under liberal rule...really does it matter in the end????? Broken promises and money taken out of essential services. It really doesn’t matter any more..
hope everyone has a beautiful week and keeps safe with the fires and what not

Thankyou for the birthday wishes :)
I have had a lovely day so far, and am currently at my daughter's house where dinner is being made for me. Received a massive hug from my not-quite son-in-law - best birthday gift as it is the very first time in almost 7 years!

At the risk of starting another “discussion”, the footy has been on for a month already... well that’s if you follow a game played in more than just a couple of backwater antipodean colonies. *ducks below the parapet and prepares for incoming missiles* he he.

Happy 50th Birthday Warrior_Queen
Time with the extended family in a setting suitable for all sound lovely. I hope it was a day for new great memories for you all.
Have a fabulous year!

Dutton is an arsehat and an embarrassment to decent Australian. Aside from his blatant hypocrisy on the subject of asylum seekers, read this and you'll understand why the South Africans are pissed.

Well hasn't this story taken on a life of it's own. The comfort in which it was said seems so out of touch and that the Libs are backing his statements as I saw on that Stan Grant show. I'm waiting for the famous line about free speech. Notably Malcolm has been silent on this issue.

Hey WQ,

A belated birthday wish :rose::kiss:, and a big hug. Although I have learnt not to hug too hard otherwise I tend to squish people. Just wanting family around is a mother thing. Same with my mum's 90th she just wanted all the family there.

Meanwhile, for an example of Dutton’s instincts for humanity, read this judgment in relation to a child held on Nauru:

http://www.judgments.fedcourt.gov.au/judgments/Judgments/fca/single/2018/2018fca0283

Despite the restrained language you can feel the judicial disapproval of the department’s approach to the case.

Afternoon all,

Just watching the F1 circus on TV. Saw the new halo safety thing. Didn't know what it was until I watched more of the commentary. So far it doesn't seem that people like it. The photographers are not happy cause they can't get that perfect shot and it seems its harder to see which driver is which. Also seems that Riccardo has been back stabbed by Red Bull. Once again an Aussie driver loses out to a European one. So much for a universal sport. Webber suffered from that now it's Riccardo's turn.

Summer just keeps going in Melbourne town even with lower temps. Still sweating just walking around. Went back to Bunnings to get more painting supplies and new cupboard handles so it's drill time. Actually have to put the handles back on the cupboard I painted earlier in the week. Not in a rush to do that.

Daylight savings finally ends on Easter Sunday which seems a bit odd. For those visiting from interstate for Easter could cause issues. Then again they should stop changing the dates.

Hope your weekend goes well and a thought for those impacted by the bushfires and the flooding which just seems crazy.

I hear ya but a guy was hit in the head by debris from a car, and that is what it is there for. Human life or photographs? pretty easy for me.

Wandering through to check out the locals and the lurkers. Will just leave some boobage to increase the amount of gratuitous nudity, it looks a little low lately.

So..... As a late 50th birthday present, I am now single again :(
Happy fucking birthday, wq.
He came to see me, telling me he was going to take me out for dinner as a late birthday present because he couldn't be there last Saturday, and then proceeded to rip my heart apart.

I am not at all sure I ever want to allow myself to be open and trusting again.
*sigh*

I'm sorry, wq. :rose:

I was doing so well....
I worked hard over the last few years to become a stable, emotionally secure person, and today I feel like all of that has been for nothing.
So damn flat :(

Not for nothing, because you did that hard work for you, not for him.

You are strong, loving and resilient, and he is clearly a fool. :rose:

Sorry for the bad feels WQ.

This too will pass in time. You will always be loved.

It's harder when you feel blindsided. You are a strong, intelligent and doubtless a beautiful woman. You will be ok.

I've personally found that whiskey, ice-cream and the company of good friends helped me to process grief and betrayal. This is not probably good advice.

Afternoon all,

Well Easter has come and gone and as tradition expects a sacrifice was made, in this case is just happened to be the Aussie cricket captain and vice captain so the crops will be good this harvest.

Has been interesting to see the reaction from other cricketing countries who have been guilty of the same thing..."those without sin...", etc. It just seems there is more to this incident and may be Steve Smith has taken the fall for others as it didn't seem to be his idea. Either way his career has been tarnished by participating in a dumb thing and certainly won't be the last sports person to do something dumb. At least he didn't blame anyone else as some do.

So Franking Credits...who knew, I certainly didn't and I still pay lots of tax as a pensioner and thanks to the Libs I'll keep paying tax for the rest of my life since they changed the rules last year which has gone under the radar. The new rules may come to light later as more people are impacted.

The Opening Ceremony for the Comm Games isn't far away and I'll be watching although I won't be on the couch watching the Games all day as I'm still on my list of painting tasks, a never ending list it seems. Rather tired but I'm still persisting whilst the weather isn't on the cold side. Noticed that there is less daylight now and Autumn has finally arrived in Melbourne with the leaves turning yellow.

I watched a little bit of the torch relay which seemed to go on forever considering the Gold Coast isn't that big. Riveting TV for a couple of minutes. Also noticed that the ticket sales haven't gone too well, they are blaming the TC's, next they'll be blaming the footy.

Hope the rest of your week goes well unless you're on school holidays with your kids, well you made 'em so you can't blame anyone else :D

Oh I'm so, so very sorry WQ.:kiss::rose: I hope you feel better soon. You will, it just takes time.

Anyway *waves hello*
I thought I'd pop in and see what was happening. My life has been busy, but the same. I think I've already started my mid-life crisis as I'm about to turn 39 in a few weeks. So, I got myself a tattoo yesterday!! I love it and it makes me feel really pretty...even though it is still red and sore. I was surprised it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.

I hope things are going well for everyone else.

xx
