I am looking for information on when would be the best time to see the northern lights in say Ontario It is for a story and so far I can not decipher most of the scientific data I have found. Any help is appreciated
 
i heard somewhere november is best month to see them but i can't remember where and i could be wrong sorry

I like this site. But I am sure there are better ones out there.
 
Ontario is directly north of me. I have yet to see the Northern Lights this year. Best I've ever seen was last winter (December I believe). They don't usually extend directly above my house, but did that time.
 
I live in the UP of Michigan which is about the same latitude as you. I have found the best time to see the lights is in September. They are so beautiful and intense then.
