Just a question - request - suggestion ...

Why don't most of you submit the written story together with the audio?

For us non-native english speakers it would be so very helpful at times to be able and look up the one or other word we feel we didn't grasp propperly.
And I was thinking you had written them anyway since .. how could you read them out loud for us? Or am I wrong here?

Just curious

A good suggestion, Hecate. It would be useful to those of us with partial hearing loss as well.

Simply didn't occur to me to do so, and I deleted the written portions already.

Pushing that back up on top

Dear fellow authors,
this is little me. not speaking English as my first language.

I have finally found the time to listen to some new audios an found again it was rather hard to catch all the words of it.

I might be having an additional problem because of English being not my first language, but I would really like to request again of the audio authors to PLEASE submit the written story too.

After all Lit ids an international site and there are those of us who do have difficulty understanding the subtle shades of an erotic story if unable to loof up the one or other word.

You have to write up the story anyway to be able to read it out - so what is the problem? (I doubt you are just "tossing them up from sleeve") So why not submit the doc?

Just thought I'd remind you audio guys and galls again *S*

One of these days, when I don't find myself gaggin at the sound of my own voice, I'll get the rest of my audio done with accompanying text. I'm probably a big problem for non-southern americans to understand clearly. It's that nasty accent I picked up.

Anyway, I did take your suggestion to heart and did my final submission with accompanying text.

Perhaps we could get Laurel to make a note on the audio submissions page that audio accompanied by a transcript is helpful to international audiences?

Great thoughts on this thread!

If you have an audio story or poem with accompanying text, simply:

1) Submit the text via your profile, like you would any other submission, only put the word AUDIO (yes, in caps) at the end of the title, then put a note at the top of the submission that says something to the effect of "Laurel, I'm sending an audio file to you via email. Link the audio to this text submission or I will give you a knuckle sandwich."

2) Attach the audio to an email and put a note in the email to the effect of "Laurel, I've submitted the text of this through the online scripts. Link this audio to the text or I will give you a knuckle sandwich." Make the title of the email AUDIO FILE or something.

If you have audio currently on the site that has no text, follow #1 only amend the note to reflect that the audio file is already on the site.

Capiche? If not, lemme know...

Hey, Laurel, maybe you could put audio transcripts in their own category attached to the audio index (incidentally the linx to audio index from this board don't work). Mine are verbatim and they totally reek storywise.
