Hi! I'm a lit user from ten years back and also very new to the forum. Please forward me in the right direction if this is the wrong place to post these questions. I couldn't find an easy answer when searching the forums.

I'm curious to learn what the preferences for audio submissions are these days? I used to send them in small at 128kbs mp3 so literotica wouldn't need to convert them. Does the platform still want small files these days or is there room for higher quality now? Happy to squish them myself before sending them in is why I ask.

Also, is there any way I can change previous story titles? I have noticed that anything with a "Ch. #Number" at the end of a title automatically orders itself chronologically. My problem is that I have previous stories with multiple Chapters that are all out of order due to me being unaware of this format. It's not the end of the world if I don't get this fixed, I'm just curious to know if I was perhaps missing an easy work around. Would love to have all my stories in a cohesive order. Especially with new Chapters on the way...

Any help appreciated. Cheers.

Part solved

Found this in the FAQ:

I've re-edited my story and want to replace the posted version with my new edited one. How do I do this? No problem! Simply submit the new version as you submitted the old one, only adding the word "EDITED" to the title (ex. "My Sexy Firefighter Ch. 03 - EDITED") so that we know to replace the old text with the new text. We will then replace the original text with the new text. Your story will retain its previous voting score and views. Edited stories take up to 48 hours to appear correctly on the site as the pages must be regenerated by the site scripts. If after 48 hours your submission edits are still not showing, please email us a link to the work in question.

How do I change the category, title, tags, or description of my story or poem? Simply follow the instructions above. In the Author's Note section of the submission, please note what changes you are making - category, title, tags, or description.

I'll work it out :)

Changing titles isn't as easy as editing content, because doing so effectively makes it a new story - the title is the web location from which the score and comments hang, and where the content maps to. You can edit the text and retain the full story history, but changing a title... that's trickier to do.

You could try a PM to Laurel, identifying the stories in question and advising her of your preferred re-titling. You might not get a response, but it might just get done. Or not.

Alternatively, assume your readers are clever and can work it out for your older chapters, and just start your next stuff the way you want it, and keep the sequence in future.

Thanks for the reply EB66. I can see why title changes would be a problem. I will keep it in mind when titling future series. Appreciate the help :)
