Audio, Anyone?

FFS! Why do these things happen? Sod's Law?

My whole site is down, as is my email. I think I broke the whole damn thing. I tried to log into my hoster's help site and my remote control panel, and yep, they are down, too. Perhaps it wasn't me. ;)

Bloody thing was working just a few minutes ago.

Sorry for the delay folks, your voices will be available for all to hear asap.

Lou :rose:

Hugs to you, Lou! We'll all be patient, no worries. Thanks again for offering to do this!

What are you other people saying?

Oh mine is pretty bland, (as is my accent.) I just introduced myself.

Novel idea, no?

:D

What did you say in your file Dranoel?

I don't want to crap on in mine LOL

Safety
In your arms
I need no armor
I let down my defenses
Expose my true self
In all its nakedness.

In your eyes
I see reflected
That sense of myself
As I have known it
Without a need to embellish.

Being with you
I feel safe
Your heart and mine
Inseparably one

And I have no need.

One of my few attempts at poetry.

Nuts, I gotta sign off for a bit. I'm going to miss the great unveiling! :D

I'll be back later, though, to hear you all! (This means you, Perdita! :rose: )

You big softy LOL
That was beautiful.

Hmm.. I think I'll just introduce myself or get my kids to sing :D

Whoop! Whatever broke got fixed!

Dran, I just emailed you back. McK, just about to do the same...

Lou :rose:

I sound gentlemenly Southern. I have a bunch of sound files of me. A couple of poetry (those are kinda embarrasing, I did them for my girl... I think I sound rediculous doing poetry), some narratives, I have one of me singing "I don't want to live on the moon" with Ernie from Seasame Street.

Heh.

Go on, post it!

I tried to get my mic sorted tonight, but it's buggered. I would've gone onto my hubby's comp and done it, but he's sat next to me shooting people on it as I type. I can't prise him away.

It will have to wait until the morning now, cos it's 1:30 am here.

I know exactly what I'm gonna say, too. Princess Di!? HA! :p

Lou :rose:

OMG, Joe!!!

I will never think of you in the same way again. That was just lovely!! Awwwww! :rose:

You have a VERY nice singing voice.

That was awesome! :D

Lou

P.S. Knock out the ;)

Ok, so I haven't gone to bed yet. I decided to stay up and record this damn thing while the house is quiet.

Sorry about the size of the file.

Lou or Princess Di???

Or a zipped version: Lou or Princess Di??? (zipped)

Be warned, do not listen to this within earshot of children, or anyone likely to be offended by naughty language.

Lou :p

I'll try to get my mic working either later on tonight, or in the morning so y'all can hear this modern-day Scarlett O'Hara.

(I'll email it to you, Loulou)

I could not recall how to record so I sent Lou this old file. It's a favourite poem in Russian by Anna Akhmatova about how memories can be like the spring coming forth out of thawing winter snows. My accent is off, but I still love speaking po-russki.

I've sent a short message in English (mostly) and hope to post that tomw.

Perdita

Akhmatova

Edited to add: Perdita Thanks to Mack!

OMG!!! This is SO cool! Thank you thank you than you Lou for hosting some of these files!

Perdita- :rose:  Wow. You sound even better than I thought you would, and I thought you'd sound terrific! I cannot wait to hear more. Wow. Did I say wow? Wow.

Lou! :D Yours was great! You do have a nice voice! It's kewl to have another piece to the puzzle that is "you." :rose:

Carl - I'm such a sucker for accents, and yours is no exception! Post more?! :)

Joe - Maybe you could apply to be the next co-host of Blue's Clues? :D Seriously though, I'd let you sing to my kids, if I had any, which I don't.

Dranoel - Somehow I think the voice fits the face. :) Deep and dark, very lovely.

May I have a drumroll, please?

*drumroll*

This is me, short and to the point.

Maybe I can post something longer, later. Thanks to everyone who's particpated so far!

What a sweet voice. I'll be expecting Scottish folk songs from you soon.

;)

I'll record something later. I'm on the laptop right now. I did have some audio poems, but I took them all down.

Joe, Joe, Joe! Please forgive me but you sound so young. Sweet though. I liked the song too.

Perdita :)

Mack, your voice fits you too. P.
