Ramblin’ Rahm: In Second Term, Obama Will ‘Invest in America’





George Stephanopoulos pressed Chicago mayor and former Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel this morning on what, exactly, the President has in mind for a second term. Pundits across the aisle have noted Obama’s failure to lay out a plan.

Not often at a loss for words, Rahm rambled down a long and winding road in an effort to provide an answer. The gist? In a second term, the President will “invest in America.” Doesn’t take a genius to figure out that’s a bad euphemism for “add another $5 trillion to the national debt.”

Florida Senator Marco Rubio, perhaps after hearing Rahm Emanuel’s rambling account of what the President has in mind for a second term, told George Stephanopoulos that Obama has “given up” on outlining second term agenda:


The most startling thing that has happened here the last month over this campaign is the president has completely given up on outlining any sort of agenda for the future. What’s his plan for the next four years
