what's the easiest way to disable the cookies under your user name?

A friend is trying to log on to Lit, and he needs to cover tracks....

Thanks.

Delete the temp cache in your directory too

I've noticed that if I do a search for *.jpg, I have copise of just about every av on my system. Might want to make sure your friend checks for and gets rid of those too.

As long as your friend remembers to log off before leaving lit, the cokies will be gone. Deleting the internet history, through Tools/internet options, will remove most other traces from casual discovery (including the avatars stored in the temporary internet files PCG's search turns up.)

If your friend needs to hide from more than a casual check, one of the many "track erasers" spammers try to sell you would be needed.

A better option for your friend would be to just NOT log into Lit from a machine where being on literotica would cost him a job or relationship -- (not excluding a parental relationship if that's who is being hidden from.)

Download VoptXP or Millenium and install it. Its not only the best and quickest defrag around, it has a suite of tools for just this matter, a Cookie Cutter, Temp Int Files deletion, URL Cache Remover and Web Objects remover, all in one handy tool kit.
It does cost to buy it (pout) but this one is worth the dosh ($30.00 US-D) Versions for Win 2000/XP. Win NT 4, Win 95/98/SE/ME

Where, I hear you cry????

www.goldenbow.com for a free downloadable 30 trial.

Rhys, PCG, DevilSpawn, Weird Harold, Draco...

TY folks! This will work out just fine. They just don't want thing "popping up" when anyone else is logged on. I clarified that there are no pop-ups unless you link to an outsite site, so you should be expecting a newbie pretty soon.

Flog accordingly...

Snoochie Booches!

BTW Weird, all of my friends are as shallow as I am, so no worries about major life decisions, OK? Besides, I forgot to tell everyone that for New Years, I'm going to solve the mystery of life and nobody will ever worry for the rest of eternity!

Hear that Lit! I really am woth a shit!

NOT! :p

Sounds like they should look into setting up individual users on their system -- favorites, internet history, recent files, the desktop, cookies, and all that are separate for each user (or can be set to be separate.)

You might also suggest that they turn off avatars, signature lines and images as soon as they register -- that's if they're concerned about people looking over their shoulder.
