he's played MIT name-dropping, even stating in his online bio that he was an MIT graduate; that's now been altered :)
Rep. Dave Dobos, a Columbus-area Republican, attended MIT in the 1970s and 1980 and studied economics but did not receive a degree, MIT’s deputy director of media relations, Sarah McDonnell, told Cleveland.com, which first reported the discrepancy Tuesday.

House Speaker Jason Stephens has since accepted Dobos' resignation as vice chair of the Higher Education Committee.
not only should they not lie, but each and every person applying for such positions in government need to see thorough and robust background checks to ensure that their resumes reflect the truth.

Resigned his seat on a committee, but didn’t resign his seat in state government.

He can still vote on legislation.

The voters will have to decide on these “Santos” type republicans in future elections.

And news media / political parties should do a better job of vetting candidate’s claims.

With the advent of the internet, basic vetting should be a fairly simple matter.
