I see that another group of asteroid watchers has been set up.
In the UK this time.

The object of the exercise is to discover large heavy things that
might fall on our collective heads.

As,they say,happened to the dinosaurs.

Not that the dinosaurs could have done anything had they known.

So we could get a situation where we're told that a large heavy thing is going to fall on us and there's nothing we can do do about it.

I don't think I want to know that.

Oh, i don't know about that. Give me a little warning and unless the damn thing lands on top of me i have at least a 50/50 chance.

Does that include angry, rolling-pin, saucepan wielding women?

:D

The next world altering event will occur at Yellowstone National Park!

:D

If an asteroid was going to hit us?

We are screwed.

I feel screwed already and I'm nowhere near an asteroid...

actually, i remember hearing something about yellowstone being the most likely candidate for the next super volcano eruption...which indeed would be a world altering event

and probably more likely than being hit by an asteroid

i watch too much educational tv i think

I don't really want to know what is going to get us all killed.....

Sigh gets the gold star! Lava field is over 300 square miles, and the ground rises over 3 inches per year, and is 5000 years overdue for an eruption.
