and that's what provoked my question. on another site that i used to frequent it was often discussed, calling it the "cut and paste" method. what i am curious about is how many people are on here to write creatively and how many are intent on generating the most stories and the most views.

I sometimes feel like writing, or pandering, or being serious or snotty or playful, or not. I write if, when, and what I feel.

I like gaining views and votes -- but writing ain't my job so I don't work at it too hard. Even when pandering, I try to avoid the usual formulas, and inject creative tidbits, but fewer twists. Wankers usually dislike twists. To me, both fun and serious equal twisted, and vice-versa. I'm only in it for the lulz.

using basic pre-written building blocks you can change the action repeatedly so that you wind up publishing the same basic stories under a variety of headings.

Depending on the taxonomist, all stories ride on 6 or 11 or 23 or 87 basic plots. But they can be and are spun infinitely. Consider that chess has 64 squares and 32 pieces but more possible moves than atoms in the universe. Any single plot could be elaborated even more. Have at it.

2) assign plot elements and sex actions to chess moves
3) using above defined vocabulary, translate famous chess parties into porn stories

the "romance novel industry" has a computer program that does this every day.

Theres a company that used to sell books on line, that you could select your own scenes in certain places.

Theres also that "pride and prejudice and zombies" type of shit writing, where someone takes an already published idea, and throws in 3 pages worth of random scenes of sex or violence, and claims to have written a novel.

There are people who have written a 2 page story about a 3 some, and then went and wrote "sequels" based on it, by changing the narrator from "mike" in the first story, to the two hookers. Completely same story except a few pronouns, and a paragraph of new maerial.

Many of my stories use the setting as a character. Some scenarios can only occur in Mexico City or Manhattan, Kansas or San Francisco or ancient Napoli. Others inhabit more generic locations, and I suppose cartoon-cutout players are interchangeable, too. Such bits would be easy to go all assembly-line on. Names and colors changed, different orifices abused to match a category, but the same stories, really. As if I wanted to bother with that. Which I don't. Because I get no reward. Pay me and I'll churn out crap.

Oh wait, chess. Win one fuck at the first square. Two fucks at the second square. Four fucks at the third. Eight at the fourth. Sixteen at the fifth. Yes, fucks double with each new square. Just wait till you hit 2^63 fucks. I predict a rash.

I mean now we are getting into the ridiculous. For Chrissakes.

Not that I think anyone much will care what I think but I'll tell you my sense of things here - there are FEWER absolute individual genuine readers who come here now BECAUSE of the over-fill of crap and repetitive stories. It's turning them away. Whereas it might SEEM that there are higher total numbers BECAUSE there are more stories published/posted - these are bots and fake 'followers' that idiot loser 'writers' are putting onto the site all by they lil' 'ol selves boys and girls to 'follow' their own work and I do not work for the NSA so I am not damn sure I'm right about it either.
